We chose Thorntons to sell our home as we were most impressed by the valuator, David Fletcher who came to view our home initially. It was our first move in over 20 years so everything was different. All the staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. Our solicitor wasn’t available when we wanted to put an offer in on a home and we were given someone else. She went off on maternity leave without informing us, which we weren’t impressed with but it meant we were back in the very capable hands of David Mathieson. Our purchase wasn’t straightforward but David was there for us every step of the way making things as easy for us as possible, thank you!

I used Thorntons a short while back and I can honestly say the service was second to none. Iain Nicol is a fantastic lawyer - he’s very efficient, acts fast, is very understanding, fair and is clear and concise when explaining everything to you - he doesn’t bamboozle you with legal jargon. Iain and Thorntons don’t exploit you in any way with regards to excessive legal fees - there’s no hidden costs and they’re upfront from the beginning. Iain’s approachable and friendly. I would recommend Iain Nicol to anyone who’s looking for a Civil Lawyer - you won’t find any better the length and breadth of Scotland!

We cannot recommend Thorntons Law in Dundee enough. Our solicitor Michelle Burns saw us through a very long house hunt which has ended with us in a brilliant property in a great location. Her rigorous attention to detail made us feel completely at ease. The original house we were planning to purchase was mis-sold to us and Michelle and David ensured our reservation fees were recovered without any issues. This felt like a situation that could have been much more serious if we had not had the sound advice of such experienced solicitors. I contacted Thorntons about a road traffic accident, which was not my fault. I then got assigned to Ayshe who was very friendly and professional with me from day one. She explained to me that I would not have to pay for her services & that she would help me on a no win no fee basis. Ayshe kept me well informed as my case went on, as it does take a long time, she managed to secure a great result for me. I can’t recommend Ayshe enough,if you are thinking of making a compensation claim then I would strongly recommend that you give Ayshe a call. I was recommended to Thorntons law, and in particular Jillian Lawson, by a friend who had previously been in an accident. From start of claim through to settlement Jillian was informative and communicated everything exceptionally well and was friendly which i feel is always important when dealing with legal matters. I had a few other queries which probably did not fall under Jillians remit however she was happy to go the extra mile and give me advice when required. Although the reason I contacted Thorntons initially was due to a road traffic accident I now feel I would not hesitate to call for any other legal assistance I may require in the futureThanks again
