my recent purchase

"I bought this house through Dario Esposito at MG. It was a probate sale and completion took place in November 2016. There were many hiccups along the way which could easily resulted in the purchase falling by the way side. I learnt how much hard work by the agent can be required for such a sale especially in quiet and more challenging house market conditions. My impression of estate agents had been coloured by the easy money to be made during the boom years. I have had now had to revise my views, and now understanthat in more challenging conditions the underlying qualities of an agent- such as training, market knowledge persistence, social skills, etc- counts for a lot, and will increasingly make the difference between closing a sale and not closing a sale. I nearly gave up on my purchase but because Dario remained confidence we could close the deal I persisted, we were able to work things out; we did indeed eventually close the deal. I spotted Dario working late on several occasions. I think it must have been after 6.30. Neighbouring agents in the High Road had clearly packed up and gone home."

We picked Martyn Gerrard to sell our flat in Crouch End from several local agents. Mark gave us a clear and honest valuation and we liked the personalized approach to marketing the property where we could input on the selling points. We were able to negotiate a specific fee based on achieving the top end of the valuation. I appreciated Mark's flexibility on this and his confidence that his team could get us a top price. The team got us an asking price offer within 2-wks and when this buyer pulled out were able to replace it with another asking price offer within 24-hrs. We dealt with James as our lead agent once the buyers were confirmed. He was great. Recommended an excellent solicitor, was pro-active on the process, and hustled it through in good time giving us updates all the way. Overall we were very pleased we choose to go with this estate agent and delighted with the service and sale price they achieved for us. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent service, value and personal interaction

This is the second year that we have let out our house for 5-6 months through Martyn Gerrard in Crouch End. We have worked closely with the agents in this branch and have nothing but praise for their work. I would particularly like to note the great service we received from Lavinia Coroama who let the hunt for a tenant for us this year and Andrew Martin who led last year and continued helping this year. Lavinia was always cool and calm and perseverent, carefully following up leads, queries and concerns. Finding short term tenants of quality is not an easy task but she (and the team she is a member of) were successful both years where other agencies failed. Couldn't be happier with Emile's service

My girlfriend and I purchased through Emile @ Martyn Gerrard in Crouch End. Emile was always very responsive (even after the sale went through), very courteous and always came back promptly to any queries. Wonderful service from a true Professional

I felt we made a very good connection with Perrie all the family were at ease with her so there were never any issues when viewings were arranged, we were kept very much in the loop and nothing was too much trouble.. As this was our first time selling a property we were quite ignorant of the processes involved and having moved from a different estate agents we were somewhat apprehensive..
