Abysmal company! COVENTRY OFFICE

My son viewed a rental property and put £250 security deposit down. Everything was going through ok until today when he was told due to his bad credit it would no longer be available to him. The form he had to fill in mentioned bankruptcy and ccjs which he doesn't have but apparently that meant other debts too (which was not stipulated!) Insinuating that he lied on the form is downright outrageous and are refusing to refund his £250 (when he was told that the only time it would be withheld was if he himself changed his mind). I was willing to be guarantor if needed but when he mentioned this it made no difference. Absolute rip-off merchants, uncompassionate beyond belief! Awaiting now for confirmation within 24 hours of a complaint ~ 14 days to rectify before I consult my solicitor and the ombudsman). Steer clear (of Coventry branch anyway).

I find this company very incompetent

I find this company very incompetent, they can’t follow simple instructions, all I asked of them was to close all blinds as the property was empty which they repeatedly failed to do and on one occasion they left the conservatory door wide open and left site, if I didn’t have security cameras fitted around the building that door could have been open for a week!!

I'm a first time landlord and have been using Bairstoweves managed letting service for the past 2 years now. Although there have been minor issues with the service which I've had to raise with them in the past they have responded accordingly to put my mind at rest. Recently, a fairly major issue occurred and Stacey at their Leamington Spa branch really went above and beyond in responding to the crisis. I rarely leave positive reviews but in this instance it is absolutely justified. I have rarely encountered someone so professional, empathetic and on the ball as Stacey has proven to be this past week. I am in complete admiration as to how she has dealt with a very tricky issue and worked constantly to ensure it gets resolved to the best of her ability. I couldn't ask for a better property manager and sincerely hope she remains the person looking after my property for a long time to come. If her manager is reading this - give her a raise!

Recently viewed and placed an accepted offer on a property. The viewing was conducted by Danielle, who did an excellent job of showing me around the property, very friendly and informative, felt a lot more welcoming than most viewings I have been to and this experience was definitely a factor in helping me decide the property was one I wanted. Communication has been very good throughout, and I would recommend Bairstow Eves if you're looking to buy and definitely if you're looking to sell.

As a Landlord I signed up to Bairstoweve's "Full Management Service", their most expensive option. Thinking that it would obviously cover all the costs of managing the property for me. It did not.

I was recently looking for a house on behalf of a friend of the family, she is pretty much house bound and needs a wheelchair to get around. I went up and down New Union Street (where most of the agents are). My friend only needed to leave her house because her landlord was selling, she has been there for four years and paid her rent on time. I wasn't getting anywhere when I was asking agents for lists or details, I was advised to check Rightmove. The problem is my friend does not have the internet so I wanted to take something away to show her. I nearly gave up until I met a politeful, friendly gentleman called Trevor Gannon who works at Bairstow Eves, Coventry.Trevor went out of his way to talk to me about the requirements and what my friend needed, it had been frustrating walking up and down but he put me at ease. He took my details and kept in touch calling to see if she was still looking. As it happened my friends landlord decided not to sell and my friend is still in her home. If I am ever looking again, I would most certainly get in touch with Bairstow Eves and would recommend anybody else to do so that may be looking to do so.

Bairstow eves has been the best letting angency I have been to. They not only looked in depth at my search criteria but actually felt like they wanted to help me in my situation, whereas any other letting agency's fob me off. This is many thanks to Trevor Gannon, he went above and beyond to help myself, a young soon-to-be mother, find a property as soon as possible and helped me in terms of what I needed to do and made things clear. He also delt with situations himself, by talking to the landlord and other places to further my chances of getting me in the property. He was always available to ask him any questions or if I was unsure about something, there would always be a quick response which helped a lot. Trevor as well as the rest of the team at Bairstow eves Coventry made me feel welcomed as soon as I walked through the door, I would definately recommend to anyone searching for properties! Very helpful, effiecient and do what they are supposed to do, thank you to Bairstow Eves Coventry.

Non existent communications or professionalism.

We initially contacted this estate agency through Rightmove for a property valuation, and they were quick to respond, which led us to book an appointment. After the call, we received several follow-up messages confirming the scheduled time, including one on the day of the appointment. Unfortunately, no one showed up.I called the Romford branch directly, but only reached an answering machine. I left my details, expecting a call back, but that never happened. I even followed up with an email and checked my junk mail just in case, but received no response.This experience was highly disappointing. The lack of communication and professionalism was frustrating, and I found them to be very unreliable. I would advise others to avoid this agency.
