GoogleI’m extremely disappointed with the way this estate agent has handled a serious safety issue in my rented property. My back door has been drilled shut, leaving it unusable as an exit. This creates a major fire safety risk, yet I’ve been left in this situation for now 4 days and have been advised it will take another 2, 3 weeks with little urgency shown to resolve it. Despite repeatedly raising the concern, action has been delayed, and now the repair is being held up further while they seek additional quotes. While I understand the need for due process, it’s incredibly frustrating that cost considerations appear to be taking priority over the safety of someone living in the property. A blocked exit in a home is not a minor inconvenience, it’s a basic safety issue that should be addressed immediately. As a tenant, I expect the property to be safe and for serious hazards to be treated with urgency. I hope the agency reflects on how situations like this are handled in the future and prioritises tenant safety over prolonged delays.
Thank you for your review, feedback and for taking the time to discuss your comments in more detail. As soon as you reported the issue, we contacted a locksmith to arrange a visit as quickly as possible, the Locksmith attended the same day and a new part was required to remedy the problem, multiple suppliers were contacted but the part was not in stock and it transpires is no longer available. The best solution was the installation of new doors, a contractor was instructed, visited, provided a quotation and the Landlord gave authority for the repair in less than 4 days. Whilst we appreciate the seriousness of the situation, we are reliant on the availability of contractors to visit to provide a quotation, authority from the Landlord and the manufacture / supply and installation of new doors.

GoogleHenderson Connellan were super helpful in our move, which was supposed to be a simple chain, but had multiple hiccups. Jack was the most efficient agent in the chain who took the time to contact everyone to keep the sale moving. We are in no rush to move again, but when we do I will be using Henderson and Jack. GoogleThe good stuff... The team at HC are all very friendly and do deal with issues that arise quickly, I can't complain about that. However, I've rented 2 properties from them and on both occasions they have done everything to avoid reimbursing my full deposit back. They claim that the place was not left to inventory standards. They avoid taking accurate pictures of areas that are in poor condition (they angle they take the pictures from before you move in hides the defects or poor hygiene) then, when you leave, they retake the pictures of the areas in poor condition and claim it was down to you. I have absolute evidence of this on email with the pictures and this provides full backup of what I'm saying. When I left my first property, I agreed there was 1 issue that could have been down to me. I learnt from this, on the 2nd property, I made sure it was perfect. This is when I caught then trying to con me out of my deposit. My advice is, when you move in, take pictures or a video of anything you feel is not right, this will then give you the evidence you need to stop fleecing you of your money when you leave. If you become a tenant of theirs, be very cautious of their tricks.

GoogleWe bought a house from Henderson Connellan and it was a very positive experience, mainly due to Jack who we dealt with. Jack showed us a couple of houses, he was on time and friendly. When we found the house we wanted he couldn't have been more helpful. We felt he was always rooting for us and throughout the whole process nothing was too much trouble for him.

Myself and two friends went into Henderson Connellan to rent a property in Corby. When we tried to rent as a party of three friends HC wouldn't deal with us - they explained that none of their landlords hold HMO licenses. This was the case with most lettings agencies in town, although there were a few that said it wasn't a problem as HMO licenses applied to 5 or more individuals. One friend decided to move home and when we went back as two friends the help we got was first class - Symonne our agent was very thorough and made everything very easy indeed, explaining everything clearly and simply as things progressed. We are yet to encounter any problems at the house but Symonne has given us the impression everything will be dealt with professionally.

I must admit Henderson Connellan weren't our 1st thought as an agent when we initially decided to sell 2 properties, but we had seen a property which they were marketing and thought it simpler to use same agents when selling ours. It was absolutely the correct choice, from the start the team were incredibly professional and accommodating, keeping us updated throughout the whole process and being thoughtful with regards to our personal situation. We genuinely liked all of the team (rare in that line of work!) especially Paddy, who became our 'go to' man at times of stress. The whole team pulled together and made moving day happen, despite a few banana skins thrown in by solicitors, for that we are so greatful. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Henderson Connellan to anyone looking for an agent in Corby!
