GoogleWe viewed a property with Chinneck Shaw a number of months ago. We knew this was a difficult to get property due to some requirements set our by the landlord but we were told to apply anyway by the agent who showed us around the property as there may be a chance to be considered. We were required to write a statement about ourselves and provide a lot of details to apply, which we did within the same day of the viewing. Unfortunately, our emails were never once acknowledged by anyone at Chinneck Shaw, despite the amount of time and work put into the application. We did follow up on multiple occasions but in the end never received any further communication from them. Whilst we understand the property market is super competitive, I think it's really important to remember that the property search is a really difficult process. A little bit of kindness and care in communication with people who have taken the time to engage with you and your properties can go a long way. We definitely would have been open to seeing other properties managed by Chinneck Shaw but after this experience we didn't feel confident to view any more of their properties. Unfortunately, this really set an expectation of the way they would have managed us as tenants communication wise and we wanted to be with a letting agency we could depend on for quick communication and help. We've now been able to find a lovely flat and a really amazing letting agency, but just wanted to share this so you can hopefully improve in your processes with other prospective tenants moving forwards. Outside of this, the people we did manage to communicate with at Chinneck Shaw were really nice, and the viewing we went to was great, I just wish the follow up comms were as good.

GoogleJoe helped me find the perfect home with no trouble at all. He was professional throughout, easy to talk to and no problem was too big or too small. If I've ever got a concern or problem (not that I have many!) I know I will always get a quick and helpful response and Joe won't stop until he's sorted everything for us! GoogleGreat experience with Tim and the team. I bought a house a few years ago from Chinneck Shaw and had such a pleasant experience I came back to them when I was looking to sell on. They were very user friendly, photos for the property were excellent and they kept in constant touch. They sold the place within 24 hours for full asking price and Toni persevered to push it through despite the Covid 19 issues and ensure a very quick process from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

They swiftly arranged a viewing for me and kept me well-informed throughout the entire process. Having a dedicated 'sales progressor' to ensure things ran smoothly after my offer was accepted was truly invaluable. I highly recommend them to fellow first-time buyers; unlike some other agents, they didn't bombard me with pushy sales pitches or try to push in-house services. It was a refreshing experience and I highly recommend them!

GoogleWe've been renting through Chinneck Shaw for 6 years - just moved out, no queries or deductions from our deposit, very helpful and flexible in terms of our moving out date too. They've also been prompt in dealing with any issues at the flat during our tenancy, resolved to a mutually acceptable standard and in good time. You hear horror stories about landlords and letting agents, but Chinnecks are not one of them - thanks Joe and the team!

GoogleI would give Tim and the sales team 5 stars. This was my first experience of selling a property and they were very helpful and supportive. It was the after sales that dropped a star. Once the sale was agreed things seemed to be progressing well but then the bottom two parties and their solicitors seemed to be dragging their heels. ‘One last enquiry’ turned into about a dozen and took over two months to sort out. Communication between all parties was at times giving conflicting info. I was told the usual timescale between agreeing a sale and completion was 3-4 months but this took over 6 months

Great estate agent to deal with, Excellent communication all the way through with a great friendly team, especially Tim who who we dealt with from beginning to end on both selling and buying, so helpful and a wealth of knowledge of the area and also to Toni for keeping us updated throughout the exchange, nothing was ever an issue and communication was spot on.

This ensured strong advertising, viewing was completed with the minimum of intrusion into our lives, offers were managed around our requirements and the process progressed chased by the support team. Ours was a simple sale thank goodness but the support from start to completion was of real value but not over the top.

GoogleChinnecks seem to have a rare knack of doing everything right for people, whether tenants or landlords. That integrity shines through. I have been with Chinnecks for over 10 years now and I will always appreciate how they helped our family at a very difficult time, with my mother needing to go into a care home. Nothing ever seemed unachievable. I do enjoy reading the newsletter, called The Letter, it communicates brilliantly. It keeps me updated on legal changes and the people behind things at Chinneck's offices.

GoogleExtremely happy with the management of the renting part of the appartment and that of the freehold. Firstly taking care of thourough checkings of the potential candidates for rening out the place to. On-time passing to me of correct information, taking care of finding the right people for repairs, taking more than one quotes. They have an excellent team of well co-operating officers who even go out of their way to help their clients with requests outside their normal obligations to them. Highly recommend by me.
