We purchased our first property through chinneck shaw, from the moment Tim showed us round one property he knew what we wanted and found us our forever home , despite the purchasing period being longer than expected (not due to Chinnecks) Toni kept us updated through out the whole process. We were buyers from Chinneck Shaw not sellers so we weren’t paying them anything. Nonetheless their service to us was superb. Tim was particularly helpful and knowledgeable about the area we were buying in. We never ever got the ‘hard sell’ from anyone in the team. They were all highly professional and listened to our needs and genuinely tried to match our house viewings to them. We never felt we wasted our time. Sadly too many of the other estate agents we dealt with were of the ‘if you don’t get an offer in today it’ll be gone’ style. Like playing Russian roulette. Highly recommend!!! Best estate agents in Portsmouth. The team handled the sale of our house with such proffesionalism and care throughout the process. As an example, we have a small dog who gets stressed out by people he doesnt know being in the house and so we took the dog out for the day whilst the team at Chinneck Shaw managed to fit all our viewings into one day. Fantastic letting agent. After having a terrible experience with another Portsmouth-based letting agency I’d lost all my faith in letting agents. In December my partner and myself found a property and called to enquire and the lovely lettings/estate agent Glynis very kindly showed us round on her day off on a Saturday as she was going to be in the area. Such a lovely gesture that really sums up the extra mile the team go to. Moving forward with renting property, we have been there six months and have only had one issue; our boiler stopped working at 4:45pm going into a bank holiday. I panicked expecting to be without heating or hot water for the weekend but the other lettings/estate Joe who manages our property sorted for an engineer to be with us before 5pm. We have had no major issues but I’m sure if we did, the team would sort it swiftly - any small queries I have Joe is on the end of the phone within minutes to help answer them. Both Glynis and Joe are a credit to Chinneck Shaw and have restored my faith in letting agents! I’d highly recommend Chinneck Shaw to anyone looking to rent a property; we moved in just before Christmas so you can imagine December was a very stressful time however the knowledge and kindness of the team made the experience so much less stressful than I imagined. From the outset they are professional when valuing your home, the photo's make your home look amazing to give you the best chance of selling quickly from the outset and the team are in constant contact with you, arranging viewings and giving you clear honest feedback, whilst searching and finding your next home. I had a very difficult, time consuming chain and Tim and Toni were just fantastic, they couldn't be more reassuring, kept me on track when I thought things were going south and kept me calm when things got stressful. We have rented a property from Chinneck Shaw for the past 5 years and they have been superb from day one! Any problems that we've had have always been dealt with very quickly. Emails are responded to the same day. I think the thing that sets them apart from other agents is that they have a lot of integrity. Joe is our main contact at Chinneck Shaw and nothing has ever been too much trouble. Their service is fantastic. They are really nice, genuine people which goes a long way as it's becoming a lot rarer nowadays. I find the contractors they work with to be the same - very friendly, decent people. If there was a higher value than 10 out of 10 the staff at Chinneck Shaw would be 1,000!!! We put our house on the market in January 2020 initially with a different agent. A few weeks of being on the market with very view viewings, we viewed a house which we fell in love with that was being advertise by Chinneck Shaw. We met with Will and explained our circumstances regarding the agent we were using. Always being professional Will gave us some advice and hoped we sold out house quickly. The next day we put in an offer which was accepted on our dream house. Later that day I had a phone call from Will as he felt very passionate about helping us sell our house and gave me lots of advice about how we can advertise our house to its maximum. Eventually we were able to leave our current agent and move to Chinneck Shaw and I have to say we have never looked back. Sadly because of the pandemic we had to sell our house 3 times but we finally moved into our dream house in August! The photos that Jamie from Chinneck Shaw took were far more professional that our previous agent, we had approximately 10 viewings between February and July which considering we were in lockdown from March until May is quite a few. We were always kept informed by Will, Jamie or Tim and they were always very courteous, pleasant and spoke honestly during any updates we received which were very regular and always after a viewing. They worked tirelessly to sell our house so that we could keep the house of our dreams. Not that we plan to move for a long time but if we did, we wouldn't hesitate to contact Chinneck Shaw. The lettings team at the Portsmouth branch, in particular Glynis, have gone above and beyond to help me secure a nice home. The professional and friendly attitudes of put me at ease and helped me get through a tough time but making finding my new home easy. Gylnis then came to my rescue on a Saturday when I had issues with me heating, I had an engineer out within a few hours. I have dealt with Chinneck Shaw in the past and having rented in Portsmouth for the last 10years I can honestly say this is the best service I have had, well done to everyone at Chinneck Shaw.
