Lydia, the agent, was extremely helpful and in constant communication as I sought to finalise my move into a rental property. Having rented multiple houses before through a conventional process, I found the fully digital contractual method alien initially, but she was always on hand to answer any questions and kept me fully informed throughout the process, even at hours considered unsociable.

Dear Callum,Thank you for your feedback, which we believe to be in response to a recent social media post. For clarity, we would like to highlight that this is connected to the letting of a commercial retail premises, rather than a domestic dwelling; our Newcastle under Lyme branch are in no way connected to this transaction. We regret that the tenant doesn’t feel the property is fit for purpose. We are working with the tenant and the landlord to come to a solution but as the contract is signed the decision rests with the landlord. Unfortunately, due to Government imposed restrictions, we were unable to offer an in-person viewing and sent the tenant a short video of the property which was recorded prior to lockdown. The tenant ultimately made the decision to sign the lease, having had the time and opportunity to have this reviewed, and paid the rent for the first year in its entirety in advance; this was not a requisite of the letting but rather a decision made by the tenant. It's an unfortunate situation and we’ll continue to work with both sides in an attempt to come to a satisfactory outcome.bjb Commercial team.

Just wanted to say, thanks again to the lettings team at Butters John Bee, Newcastle Branch for the quick turnaround in letting my property.Literally I had a tenant living in the property up to 26th November & then a new tenant has moved in today Fri 27th November - meaning no void period.Excellent work, especially to Abi & Chelsea :)

Useless for landlords...Avoid like the plague if your a landlord. You cannot get through to the property maintenance team. They never respond to VM's or emails. I've had some live issues for 10 months. They are happy to take the management fee but do nothing to fix issues.Please save yourself from getting robbed and go with reputable estate agent.
