I would also like to just take this opportunity to provide some very positive feedback on Joe Allen. He has totally impressed us with his personality, he has a lot of energy and enthusiasm and makes this part of the process very enjoyable. I totally appreciate his direct and candid personality and know exactly where I stand. There is no back and forth battling for guidance and the hard work that usually comes with negotiation and landing a successful offer. I have dealt with a number of agents from all parts of Colchester in the past five weeks but I am also comparing him to all the agents I have dealt with up and down the country. I would come back to him and this agency for a valuation, resale on any property we invest in the area and any recommendations just because of who Joe is. We chose Michaels in Crouch Street from three local estate agents whom we initially invited to take a look at our house, with a view to putting it on the market. From the outset Aaron kept his feet on the ground and was realistic in his pricing range. He loved the house and aimed to show it to its best advantage and his photos were testament to that. Calls flooded in and he organised two days of viewing and it was at the end of the first day that a really good offer was put forward and accepted, painlessly and seamlessly. There was no pushiness and, at all times, we felt securely held, but with no pressure. Then Jo, the progressor, became our go-to person for liaisons with the buyer, progress down the line and general information. In point of fact, she did far more and offered any form of support that we needed. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt more than just clients. So I just finished buying my first home with Micheals property consultant, and what can I say. I was so nervous about the whole process, but from start to finish the team looked after me in every way possible, keeping me updated throughout even though the world was at standstill due to covid19. They put me in touch with Gemstone Mortgages sorted me out so I knew what I had to spend and play with within reason. The team found the house telling me to book in and have a viewing as this matched the criteria that I was looking for. And I’m so glad they did. What can i say!! Michaels have been amazing from our first email about selling our property, to coming out for a valuation. The photos of our house were lovely, she had an eye for detail and done the simple things like putting the toilet seat down and making sure the pillows were fluffed, which is a big thing for me when I was looking at properties. They got the right people through the door and not time wasters, viewings could be booked in advance and last minute (and they showed them round) but would also let you know if they couldn't do the viewing and asked if you were available, again a massive plus in an estate agent. Once they sold the property I got handed over to Jo, who phoned/emailed me with weekly updates about where we were etc this was a massive weight off my mind. Close to completion Jo and Michael were literally amazing, I can't thank them enough for organising exchange and completion, especially during this time. Thank you so very much. You sold my house but I'm now in my home. xxx

We had an excellent service from Michaels from start to finish. We had an initial valuation with Reenie who was extremely positive and proactive. We were contacted about a viewing on the same day we listed our property and Conner and Aaron continued to work really hard to book in viewings for us at a time that was suitable for us. In the end we had one viewing and accepted an offer that we were happy with thanks to Conner's negotiations. Almost immediately after we accepted the offer the country went into lockdown which was not ideal. From this point onward Michael took over the communication with us and he was fantastic. Michael was efficient and reassuring throughout the whole process which is greatly appreciated as this was the first time we had sold a property and we had the added stress of trying to secure the sale during lockdown. Michael was always happy to advise us and explain what we needed to do. He kept in very regular contact with us and our solicitor and was key to ensuring the process ran as smoothly as it did. Michaels State Agency is good but Sam is the best

I would highly recommend Michaels Estate Agency for renting a place. We met the agency when we were desperately trying to find the best place to live with our two small kids. Actually, the whole team is great, but for my family, Sam stands out as the best.We rented a place through him twice. He is not only a helpful and kind professional consultant but also someone with practical solutions and a sense of order at all times. He always understands our expectations and needs, sometimes even better than we do. Even after the renting process is complete, he remains reachable for any assistance or questions.
