Having used several local estate agents with no luck after 8 weeks, Harris and Wood came in at the end and were relentless in organising viewings. Each viewing had an agent present and feedback was given promptly afterwards. Lewis kept me in the loop throughout the whole process, was professional and assertive in relaying messages between me and potential buyers which lead to the offer that secured the sale of my property. I had heard only good things about Harris and Wood prior to our transaction as they'd sold a house for my extended family and brilliant ratings from other sources too. Have recently taken a property on from these guys. From start to finish has been smooth considering the changes to the process from the last time I’ve had to move. Primarily Megan has been on hand from start to finish dealing with this along with many queries from myself where I’ve felt a nuisance but 100% Megan has made the process easy and dealt with every query/issue that I’ve had throughout the process and even when not available others have been available to help.

I have just completed on what turned out to be a very long drawn out process of selling and buying a house. I can only compliment Harris and Wood on their excellent service throughout what turned out to be very stressful experience. In particular, I would like to mention Justine who has now moved to another role and Maddie who took me over the final hurdles. Both of these ladies were amazing, they never lost patience with me, were quick in all responses, even if what I was asking was not always relevant to procedures. Maddie, in particular went that extra mile when I needed something printing out for me, by going out of her way to drop it off at my house!!! I cannot recommend Harris and Wood enough. I am hoping I never have to move again but if I did I would use Harris and Wood. A huge thank you.

Elliot is very kind and explains the process of buying and selling a house very clearly, which helped ease a lot of my uncertainties. James is also wonderful, and his photography is full of passion and extremely captivating. In fact, one of the main reasons I chose Harris and Wood was because I was drawn to James’s photos. Bone idol. Lost a sale because of their lazy attitude. Tried another local company house sold in a week.Just don't bother. The estate agent who sold my house said that hunters are just sweeping up local businesses in a big takeover move. All fur coat and no knickers. Dealing with a 16-year-old sales agent isn't a pleasant. experience. Wetherby branch. If you also check online they say they use Google reviews which they don't.

lettings fees are very high

For lettings their fees are very expensive. First 3 months of my 450 rent studio flat they took and I did not get anything. When tenant leaves another month will be gone as inventory check is 180 and cleaning in 250 and this is for a studio flat. If i want to cancel the contract i have to pay 900. Stay away.

My wife and I were definitely those nightmare clients for Harris & Wood. We listed our house, got offers and then decided we didn’t want to move. Then a year later we were scanning through Rightmove and found our next home. Within a few hours our house was relisted, and within a week sold. The after sale care was genuinely amazing, Marcus is the GOAT of estate agents. He kept us informed throughout the process, chased the chain constantly and we wouldn’t have exchanged quickly without his help. We put our house on the market in April, our move is July. An absolutely fabulous service from start to finish. Of all the estate agents we got out to quote, they were realistic, helpful, and took their time to sit down with me and answer any/all questions I had. The photos taken were what drew me to them as an agent to begin with - well taken, really showcase your home, and are very well done. We had a very difficult chain below us, and I have to thank Marcus for being an absolute star. He has had a tough time chasing and following up, but again - cannot fault the communication between him and us, keeping us updated every step of the way, even just to inform us there was no update as he was waiting on other people. Was looking for a rental apartment and found one through Harris & Wood. My main contact was Harrison, he was lovely to speak with and was swift and knowledgeable at answering my questions, both before and after the keys were passed over. For my correspondence with him it's a 5/5. The reason for my 4/5 on here is more likely to do with my landlord, however H&W did sign off on it. There were some minor things, like the inventory report indicating it was professionally cleaned - when it was clear it wasn't (cobwebs, dust and debris on the floor, greasy cooker hood, etc), as well as some other bits and bobs (i.e. no light bulbs in the cooker hood and oven, broken toilet seat, broken shower hose). Otherwise the property is in tip-top shape, so can't further complain there. Overall I'm happy with the experience.

This review is based so far on the beginning process Harris and wood have given me having just put my house in the market. And sometimes people forget the start up people. putting the house on the market is daunting, people seeing your safe place,your home. Comes down to the photos. James is incredible. I chose Harris and wood for the way they market your house. Modern advertising and James fits in perfectly. He works with you to get the best shots, like he is taking pics of his own home. Gives you a quirky edge not like normal photos you see on right move. When he comes over, let him do what he does because you won’t lose. Such a nice guy. That’s the reason I picked Harris and wood. Not taking the service away from the rest of the team, phoning up dealing with Elliott coming over it’s amazing and feels easy. James your the reason I picked Harris. I recently exchanged contracts on a house which was marketed by Harris and Wood. I had more positive contact with them than any other person involved in the process. They contacted me on a regular basis with informative updates, returned phone calls promptly and chased up all relevant parties. I was impressed by the professional manner I was dealt with as I was not their client.
