Can’t recommend Harris & Wood enough, It’s my first time renting for myself. Tom was very kind and patient with myself and my children and showed me around my new home and answered all my questions. Megan Power, has been brilliant and very kind and professional throughout the whole process. She always replied to my emails promptly and always so lovely on the phone. She helped make the process run smoothly, keeping me informed and made the move stress free. I would highly recommended Megan & her team at Harris & Wood for anyone looking to move :)

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters

One of my worst experience buying a house from hunters auction. House was listed on website and tenanted for a fixed amount of rent which I was told by the auction agent called Robert. Also house was in bad state but got told tenants don’t care so why do you. Only to find out later on that tenants have never paid anywhere near that amount and it’s so much lower. So was lied to first of all and then later to meet the tenants and for them to tell us all the work they was promised and they wanted the house fixing top to bottom. What an absolute joke and waste of time and money. Keep your money and go elsewhere they will tell you anything just to sell a house that is overpriced

Rude, poor service - a must avoid for renters

Rude, get passed around from pillar to post while they try to ignore your requests or questions. Tried for years to get them to fix things but just continually fell on deaf ears. Now they're trying to claim issues are my fault which are down to shoddy contractors (which they use consistently, including at one point despite having had yearly gas checks, I get told that the previous 6 years hasn't been done properly and the build up that caused a leak was because of this. Everything is everyone's issue but theirs. Renters, avoid at all costs!

DO NOT USES THESE ESTATE AGENTS Dewsbury branch letting flat below me with shared garden took 20 of my plants from the shared garden without trying to contact me.No apology and wont replace without receipts and photos of stolen plants. Who saves plant receipts? Not the slightest sign of remorse or any apology. Told me after my one email to them they will not respond further unless i give above evidence. My overall move was very stressful due to some other factors and parties, but H+W were a pleasure and basically the only thing that kept me going. I couldn’t recommend Harris & Wood enough. They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish with marketing our property and finding us a buyer to managing the sale through to completion. There were several issues that arose with our house move of which Naomi at H&W took full ownership and ensured that they were resolved asap. To ensure that the chain didn’t fall apart, she was incredibly proactive and ended up doing the job of the other estate agents in the chain including liaising with the solicitors at the bottom, the legal team of a management company and a developer at the top of the chain. Paul and his team at Chesterwell really are fantastic and there is no one else that I’d trust to sell a property, the service really is first class.
