GoogleWorking with Harris and Wood over the sale of a family house has been a very positive experience. We approached the situation of dealing with estate agents with a hefty dose of scepticism as, generally as a profession, estate agents have a poor reputation with the general public. Harris and Wood has genuinely proved itself an exception to this rule. Throughout what turned out to be a lengthy and complex sale, all the team whom we had dealings with were helpful, efficient and proactively responsive. We were kept well informed throughout and staff responded quickly and courteously to any queries we had. We are particularly grateful to Marcus Jarman for liaising so efficiently and patiently with us and our buyers. We are surprised to find ourselves saying this given our initial scepticism of the whole business but we can warmly recommend Harris and Wood . It is a very enterprising business. All staff appear to work really hard to bring sales through to completion, and are friendly and approachable in the process. Thank you!

GoogleMegan Power at the Colchester office has been extremely helpful, both during the application process and also during move-in and some very minor snagging. She responds really quickly and is professional and courteous. I'd say she is a really great asset for Harris & Wood and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone that they should use this company. I should add that this move was for my sons first home and what could have been a very stressful experience was a very smooth one.

Ignorant and unprofessional Estate Agents! I contacted them three times to view a property. I ended up knocking on the Venders door and viewing on the spot. I offered nearly full asking price with a full cash, nothing to sell offer and they said they'd come back to me after the bank holiday, it's now been 6 days and I've not even had a refusal email or phone call! I would never view another property with this Estate Agent and would certainly never sell a property with them!

They only refunded back by holding deposit after seeing a video that I uploading on Facebook with so many negative comments from the viewers. HARI PATEL who apparently is the director of the Harrow Branch is very rude and disrespectful to his clients.

GoogleRecently exchanged on a property and our experience with Marcus at Harrison and wood was excellent. He kept us informed at every step and was constantly on the ball with everything chasing up answers for our solicitor and checking in on all parts of the chain. Marcus did a brilliant job and we hope we get to thank him in person when we collect the keys.

We drove over 250 miles to view a house listed for let @ £900. We said we like it and were happy to proceed, after all similar properties down south cost £1000 a month….We were absolutely shocked when they got back to us, offering us the house for £1000 because they knew we could afford it… we were aghast! I have never ever encountered such skullduggery and dishonesty…. Of course we declined… how can one deal with such a dishonest estate agent as these!

As working professionals who can rarely get free time during the weekdays, it's extremely annoying to book days off to view properties to find they're by application, and we submitted our application the day we viewed, only to have the application be rejected because it wasn't processed in time before the landlord accepted an alternative application. Not worth the time.

I was buying a house through hunters, wasn’t the best experience in the world. When it came to getting the keys from the bishop Auckland office, I was told to wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes, then presented with 1 key by itself, there was no congrats on your first home or any welcome gifts or anything, just here’s your key, see you later 👍🏼😂 got into the house, it wasn’t clean, the kitchen had been flooded which warped all the kitchen floor which I then had to pay to get it sorted. They should have done a check once the owners were out the house in order to make sure it was in a fit state and as seen on the viewings. I’ve since rented out houses around that area and stayed well clear of hunters, I would never use them again after the experience I had with them.

Poor overall! The property we were interested in was over valued by more than 10% and yet they wanted offers in excess of ?! My communication with staff was defensive and not amiable not sure why! My advice check out your move to check the property is actually worth what they say it is? Before you buy 🤗
