TrustpilotRented a house for 2 years through this…
Rented a house for 2 years through this company. Paid our rent a year in advance. After moving out they are trying to scam us out of sone of our deposit. Apparently there is is debris in the drain cover (three tiny leaves) and the pole level is lower by one line, well its in three lines amd when we moved in we managed to get 500 litres delivered in the tank so quite how we managed to leave it lower os a bit of a mystery. Spoke to someone called Mise Simmonds who is just really vile and spoke to me like I was a child. So looks like we are going to court. I would avoid this company.

GoogleWe used Boydens when moving houses (renting). They were helpful and quick to reply to our messages, it was easy to schedule virwings and to communicate updates. The inly slightly annoying inconvenience was that we were signed up for the NO DEPOSIT scheme when we made it clear we can afford and prefer to pay a deposit. Otherwise- great servise

TrustpilotAlways an excuse
Notified them of our back door not locking (something we had pointed out was faulty when we originally moved in but they refused to do anything about it until it was completely broken). Left both a voicemail and reported on their online maintenance portal. This was very urgent as it meant our home was completely unlockable and unsafe! They did not respond to me the next working day as I would have expected for such an urgent issue and I had to chase them up. It has now been over 2 weeks later and the door is still not fixed. When they originally sent maintenance over they simply took the door mechanism out so the door was permanently locked. Not exactly safe or the property we have paid for! Still not fixed nearly 3 weeks after originally notifying and they will do nothing unless you repeatedly chase them. Always have an excuse... They also told us we had to vacate the property when our 1 year was up even though our contract says that after a year the tenancy would be a monthly rolling contract. When I pointed this out they said that they would need to check with the landlord... its almost like they don't want our business and like the contract doesn't matter!

Avoid Boydens if you are not desperate, and if you are prepare to descend further more in desperation, they will suck your blood, they are absolutely mercenaries and will rob you off, they deduced my tenancy deposit for cleaning charges and the check in photos was nothing like the check out and I offered to hire cleaners or clean it myself to no avail, use them at your own peril.
