We were really happy with the overall service from Beresfords when looking for a flat to rent. The whole process from start to finish was quick, friendly and professional and we always had fast responses to any emails that we sent. In particular, Eleanor was brilliant throughout the process and always answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend both Eleanor and Beresfords as a whole.

After a bad experience house hunting and purchasing a house in Essex, Ben from Beresford restored our confidence and helped us from start to finish with our purchase. His ability to deal with our expectations and frustration is remarkable!! Guys, if you need help buying or selling a house in Essex then Beresfords is definitely the estate agency to choose! Generally a good experience. We wanted to step away as much as we could from the rental property and on the whole this has been achieved although they could do more to deflect tenant’s requests for minor repairs (which could usually be undertaken by the tenants easily and at little or no cost).

I note your comments regarding tenants requests for minor repairs. We will always try to deal with minor requests ourselves directly with the tenants wherever possible, albeit in some instances we are left with no option but to seek landlord's approval, as ultimately it would be a landlord's money that we would be spending to rectify such matters. Hi Maria Further to our conversation on the phone, I find the treatment from you very unprofessional.I have provided full information to you and your company with the details that the property is owned by a limited company.I am acting as a agent on the company’s behalf.You have my contact details and I have spoken to various people with no indication there was a problem with making a visit to the property for a valuation.I find this bizarre that your company with offices nearby to the property have caused such difficulties when three further agents have supplied the same information as you & also visited the property.

Following a detailed review of our files, it would appear the property is owned by another individual and there is no record of you as a third party, whom we can liaise with. We have a duty of care to our clients and would not be able to carry out an appointment for someone else, without prior authorisation from the legal owner. If the legal owner wishes to contact us directly, we would be more happy to take instructions. It concerns me that other agents may have acted without taking the same care and due diligence.
