Worst renting experience I have ever had for 9 years living abroad. They try to charge everything throughout the tenancy. Two specific examples stand out. 1) the WiFi in the building went down for around a month. Instead of having people look into it and fix the issue, they replied my email saying that they will charge me for sending people look into the issue. 2) the move-out experience is a total nightmare. I found out the garbage room is full. I was kind enough to email them about the issue and throw my garbage elsewhere. But they instead of solving the issue, charge me for the cleaning fees of the garbage room. Also, they charge me for extra room cleaning fee and decoration fees after I moved out. Unfortunately I happened to know the person who moved in to the same flat I left. He said the room was the same as I left it and hasn’t been re-decorated.

Rented with CJ Hole for 18 months and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. From mistakenly registering our council tax with our next door neighbours, to not keeping appointments, failing to complete repairs, no interest shown in the damp and mouldy conditions we were living in, to even getting our names wrong I have no good word to say about them during 18 months of having them as Lettings agents. Communication was poor and their standards for renters shocking. No care or attention for tenants, only for profit.

I have just endured a rather protracted flat sale and I can honestly say that without C J Hole, I might have gone quite mad. They have been consistently friendly, funny, wise and efficient. Every call answered promptly, every e-mail responded to and lots of energy expended chasing solicitors, builders and surveyors on my behalf. I drank them dry of coffee, had a couple of shouting fits when I needed them and dropped in whenever I needed to get a sensible opinion. They also helped me communicate with my buyers, exchanging useful information without always going via the solicitors. Right from the outset, they got me 22 viewings in 3 days and an excellent sale price. Where they really earned their keep though was the constant support and encouragement to shepherd me through the quagmire of what followed. It made a huge difference to feel that you weren't on your own just because the sale had been agreed. I would use them again without hesitation. I'm in no rush to ever sell again, but I will miss the free coffee......

We had an overall excellent experience with CJ Hole Clifton for the sale of our flat and would like to commend the team for their outstanding service. Howard Davis is most professional, helpful, and responsive, does an excellent job of the valuation and of rendering advice throughout, is very personable, always leaving a good impression, and, most of all, successfully manages a high quality team with a strong work ethic. Howard went out of his way to ensure that we were accommodated and satisfied following a minor glitch with scheduling the photographer, which we appreciated. Rachel Smith shines in her ability to sell sell sell. She is pragmatic, task focused, and highly organised, seizing the initiative and following up with all parties without fail. This is immensely helpful in the often fraught buying/selling process in England, which is so full of uncertainties. Rachel's actions show that she is on top of her game and provide assurance through the housing quagmire. We were especially happy with the prompt feedback from the agents (Rachel and Vince) following viewings and found being kept in the loop and getting a glimpse into what the viewers might have been thinking incredibly helpful both for reflecting on our prospective buyers/the market, and for calming our nerves as they worked to help us secure a sale. A valuation of my late

A valuation of my late brother's flat was carried out by Howard Davis of CJ Hole's Whiteladies branch. Two other estate agents valued the property prior to Howard's valuation, however, Howard gave the best advice at a time that was difficult for myself and my family. Howard was thorough in his inspection of the property and he engaged with the situation as opposed to the other two agents who wanted to complete the job as soon as possible and leave. I am all round satisfied with the service I received and would recommend the branch to anyone.
