TrustpilotIncompetent and dishonest, Swettenham's mismanagement cost us thousands.
Swettenham's Northwich took on a 6 month 'full management' contract for our home in Sandiway in Aug 2024. The tenant stole a fireplace, wooden flooring, custom made blinds from all windows, light fittings, redecorated and re-modelled, and the agent was aware of this in Nov 2024. They failed to notify us or to enforce the tenancy agreement with the tenant instead trying to convince us to sell the house to the tenant. Overall the cost to us was over 10k, a police investigation we will need to file a claim in court now too. The deposit insurance scheme paid out 2,600. We paid the agent 1500 in management fees and they are refusing to refund it all. Do not use this agent, they are incompetent and dishonest.

GoogleThis is the second time that I have used Swetenhams in Chester to help find a tenant for my property. I mistakenly went to another Estate Agents before going to Swetenhams on the second occasion and quickly realised the mistake I made. Gerry and Ed are professional and provide excellent customer service for both the tenant search and for a Landlord. I had a lot of problems with my outgoing tenant too and they went above and beyond to help me. I cant thank them enough and in future I wont be looking anywhere else. Highly recommend!!!

GoogleReally professional service from start to finish. I had changed estate agents from Williams Estates (Mold) to Swetenhams (Chester) and the difference between the two agents was astounding - you really do get what you pay for. I would go with Swetenhams every time and cannot recommend them enough. I initially met with Beverly who was lovely and professional and she talked me through the marketing process. The photos and brochure looked fabulous and I was very pleased with how they turned out. Martin knows his job very well - he did the viewing and successfully closed the sale getting us the price we wanted for the property, and I then liaised with Jack during the sales process and he was fantastic - he was very responsive and understanding and resolved matters quickly and easily. Overall, I would highly recommend Swetenhams and I feel very grateful to them for helping to get my sale over the line so quickly.

The viewing was very covid friendly and thorough questioning beforehand which put myself at ease. Trustpilot57 days without heating!
I rented a flat from Swetenhams. I was left with no heating and no cooker for 57 days! There was no means to log the issues and when I called Swetenhams associates, I was told that they would try but that "they were very busy!"

GoogleI'm so shocked by almost all the estate agents I've been dealing with. As a buyer ready to go its almost criminal how many agents just say "no you can't view a house for another week cause we have no-one to show it" Is that not what vendors are paying a fortune for.? If you are using swetenhams to sell in Blacon... sorry... I can't even get to see your house, never mind buy it!

Later that day we received the phone call we were accepted at the property and she was very helpful getting all the paperwork and contract sorted in the matter of a few days!
