I am very thankful to letting agent “Swetenhams, Chester” for helping me to find my interest of rented house in Chester with in a short duration of time. I recently came to UK and I was very new to this place. Initially, I was a bit nervous that how to find my own rented house. However, Swetenhams team Gerry and Ed Brown assisted me a lot to find the house of my interest in a short duration of time. Everything was explained clearly and within 10 days of time frame all the Process completed like Document collection, Background Verification, Payment, Zero Deposit Scheme, House Utilities Set up assistance, Paperwork (Tenancy agreement, Inspection report, Welcome Kit). My Experience with Swetenhams was exceptional, largely due to the outstanding service provided to me by Gerry & Ed Brown from start to finish. Their Professionalism and supportive nature made the entire process smooth and stress free. I am not sure where to begin telling you how fabulous Gerry Mason-Rolls is! After 12 years of renting my old property she helped me find what I hope will be my forever rental home. She listened, she offered exceptional customer service, she was friendly, understanding, she knows her stuff when it comes to houses and she is all round just wonderful. There were multiple problems both above and below us in the chain and Molly, together with staff from my selling agency was extremely helpful throughout a prolonged and difficult process. I was kept informed of the situation as it developed and they were active in encouraging other participants to respond in an appropriate and timely fashion leading to a successful conclusion. Without their persistence this may have not happened.

Needed to rent my property out and after contacting a few estate agents, Gerry from Swetenhams swiftly got in touch with a detailed and friendly response. She has been extremely accommodating and helpful in renting my property out. Everything was explained clearly and in less than a week all the paperwork was completed, survey conducted, and multiple tenants found. With a detailed explanation of tenants that were interested to ensure the most suitable person was found, in less than a week one was identified and moved in within days. I fully recommend using Swetenhams as they have been fantastic and met my needs incredibly quickly.

Please be very careful when renting…

Please be very careful when renting with swetenhams we have had multiple problems when the tenancy was coming to and end and mistreated horrendously , the estate agent had a lack of care for us as tenants and now we have waited 5+ weeks for our deposit back and been told next week each time we ask. It’s a constant cat and mouse chase and you will feel deflated everytime you speak to them

I can’t comment on the lettings team as they seem to have positive reviews but what I can say - if you thinking of selling your house with Swetenhams , please give it some serious consideration . There was one lady called Joanne who was brilliant but unfortunately she left. The experience before Joanne took over my account and after she left was horrendous . Customer service seems to be a complete no go to the sales team. I was not kept informed of anything , they were unhelpful , rarely returned my calls and seemed to do no ‘marketing ‘ of my house what so ever . Their updates on viewing were a complete shambles . I even complained to their head office ( which got me no where other than being allowed to market my property with another agent simultaneously) The ‘manager’ ( and I use the term loosely ) seems to be constantly in meetings and when you finally get to speak with him , he conveniently was ‘away that day ‘ no matter what you need to ask him. An unpleasant experience from start to finish
