GoogleI’ve had a really great experience with Humphreys of Chester letting agency. The team has been lovely and accommodating, excelling in their email correspondence and overall communication. Working with them has been easy and straightforward. However, there were instances where communication between the landlord and the agency could have been more prompt, particularly regarding some requests and concerns I raised. Speeding up this process would definitely enhance the overall service. I definitely recommend working with them.

FacebookHumphreys have sold 2 houses for us over the last 3 years. They were always proactive, we never had to chase them to find out what was going on. Neither of the houses were properties that would sell themselves, but through persistence and hard work they kept a steady stream of viewers until good quality purchasers were found. We can wholeheartedly recommend them.

GoogleI had arranged with Humphreys to view a property at 1pm on Saturday 3rd July 2021 I arrived at the property and waited until 1pm no show from Humphreys so I phoned Humphreys and was told that there had been a diary mix up and the viewing could not take place on the Saturday it had been arranged for, really unprofessional customer service. Very poor way to run a business, not turning up for pre-arranged appointments. If appointments can't be kept at least inform the customer.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
Dear Mr Cummins, Thank you for your review, which I believe is the third of its kind on varying platforms over the past 48 hours. We have apologised on more than one occasion that there was a confusion with our diary which led to us not attending, yet you seem to persist in continuing to go over the matter and seem intent on attempting to tarnish our small business. You spoke with our sales manager Andrew on Saturday (03/07) and again yesterday (05/07) and you were offered alternative appointments, and as yet we are still to hear back. Your reaction to a simple mistake is not commensurate, we book and conduct over 100 viewings each week and from time to time things will go wrong. Kind Regards, Humphreys

GoogleWanted to view a house. They advised the house wasn’t ready to view and they would contact us when they were ready to book viewings. The call never materialised so we had to then contact them again, by this time they were accepting viewings and many were already booked up. They messed us about further, first offering us a viewing then moving the viewing to a week later for a reason they did not disclose. In this time the house had then sold. My thoughts are they had a preferred buyer. Unprofessional and I would never look to use them. When I’m looking to spend silly amounts of money on a house I want a more professional service. GoogleAppalling service, ignorant, unprofessional and unresponsive. I am a landord who is still waiting a response from Matthew Royle and the lettings team a week after my second formal request and phone calls to correct a Tenancy Agreement. Initially, they re- issued it without any amendment, since which time I have had no further response. They also charged me £90 to renew the Agreement by just changing the dates on the previous Agreement, an increase of nealy 50% on last year; hardly value for a pathetic service.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Dear Mr Waring Here at Humphreys we always welcome feedback, both positive and negative if it is constructive, but we have to point out that your feedback is not as you have stated. You had asked us to renew the lease and agreed to our costs for doing this. After the lease was signed by both you and your tenant, you then asked for a clause to be removed. As the lease had already been completed on 9th June, we reissued an amended lease to sign and can see that you have received this on the 10th June and opened and viewed this on 12th June. GoogleWe have been looking for a rental property in Chester and I won't lie some of the agents have not been helpful at all. However this agent has been the most hopeful agent I have found. Both Katie Gleeson and Holly Charlton have been amazing in helping us secure the rental property we need. We wouldn't have found the property and secured without their support. I found the company that we used for the credit checking not the most easy to work with company and at one point I thought we were going to loose the property as a result (thankfully we didn't).We will definitely be looking to use these agents in buying a property next year. Thanks again everyone.
