Couldn’t say a bad word about her professionalism and friendliness. She went over and above to help us process documents in good time, even offering to come into the office on her days off to assist us, which was beyond generous of her. She had great patience and skill in explaining mortgage details and insurance options to us. We asked someone from Brown and Merry to come value our house with the possibility of putting it up for sale with them. We decided on another agent in the end but since giving my name, mobile number and address to Brown and Merry, I've had calls, texts and post through from haart estate agent who admitted on the phone to buying my details off another agent ( it can only be Brown and Merry as the agent we went with only had my husband's details). They've also sold my info to one of these house buying companies who text me constantly! I'm pretty sure that's a GDPR breach. AVOID CONTACTING!!

GoogleMy partner and I had signed up with the majority of the estate agents in the Amersham and Chesham area looking for one bed and two bed flats however we weren't having a lot of luck. What was different about our experience with Amour at Brown and Merry, was how he approached us a regular people to quickly build a rapport, focused on our expectations, and didn't sugar coat properties that we weren't interested in just to pick up a quick sale! A lot of estate agents we worked with were professional, sure, but none were as welcoming and personable as Amour, and ultimately he found us a great flat to live in! Do not bother booking lettings insurance with them. It is a total nightmare to cancel and they will send you on a wild goose chase to do so. I called insurance directly, they said speak to lettings, they eventually got back to me and gave me an email to cancel with. They responded saying speak to insurance company. Seriously? Full circle. Do yourself a favour and book it yourself.

GoogleOriginally I really appreciated the team there. They did what they could very quickly to get me a flat. Good bargain and helpful but when you finish your contract… you’re alone and you end up finishing the mess yourself directly with the landlord. They need to improve on this point. The customer need to be accompanied from the beginning to the end… don’t forget that.

Sequence rental are possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Overpriced, inept, and seem to totally forget that as a landlord it is me that pays for their service. Tenants did not report a leak that caused my wooden worktops to rot, to replace them will cost nearly £800 but am being told this is fair wear and tear and I can not claim for them to be replaced! Poor service from start to finish.

GoogleExcellent service from Brown and Merry . A realistic appraisal of the current market conditions and therefore price by Tom Porter enabled a quick sale of our house at a very quiet time of year ( over Xmas ) . The Estate Agent has great outreach so that our house was marketed in front of a large audience . Really great that Tom didn’t just rely on Right Move ( as some estate agents seem to do ) to sell the property and used all the tools at his disposal . Communication between us was good , and accurate all through the process and I have to say , I’ve bought and sold a few houses over the years , but this experience was the smoothest . Well done to Tom and all the team at Brown and Merry . I would highly recommend this Estate Agent !

GoogleAmazing experience at brown and merry Chesham. Used chancellors previously and didn’t have the best experience then moved over to brown and Merry and couldn’t have made a better choice. Put my house on the market with them and they found me a buyer within 2 weeks. The house sale was fast and dealt with efficiently and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t choose any other agent in the town now I’m with brown and merry. Best agent in the town.

We hit every obstacle imaginable during the process, and he remained calm, professional and supportive, dealing with what could have been a nightmare, and secured a positive outcome. On the mortgage side of things, Ben provided a stellar service, finding us the best mortgage available and keeping us in the loop every step of the way. List bait properties that are no longer available and continually fail to return calls over a number of weeks, despite multiple commitments 'to come right back' when followed up. The Dfferent excuses provided each time. Serious question marks re: the ethics of this place, and that's before we get on to their complete lack of basic professionalism. As a buyer I would not consider buying anywhere listed by this lot, even if I really liked the place... plenty of other professional outfits that do manage basic things like returning calls etc out there. Potential buyers and sellers beware. AVOID.
