TrustpilotDO NOT USE! Awful service!
Terrible company and horrendous service. Hard to sell a house when the agent doesn't pitch up for viewings, has fake customers who don't pitch up for viewings either, doesn't return calls, terrible photos and asks for our own photos, bad write up, don't update the sales video with the new photos post makeovers, refuses to release the seller from a contract despite repeated requests due to terrible service and wants payment for doing nothing useful! Release MR Portman immediately so a proper agent can sell the house!

GoogleI think I've had one of the most difficult moving processes of all time but bairstow eves kept on pushing it through and helped loads! I don't think I would have moved without their help! They stayed calm and patient throughout the hole process and went above and beyond when it came to chasing solicitors and buyers!

Beeston Branch:A terrible experience with this agent. My friend listed her property with them under a twelve week contract which they later said was 16 weeks as they want her to give another four weeks notice after the twelve period. On top of this they got the property information and dimensions wrong on the listing; adding a downstairs toilet that didn't exist! They confuse viewings and bookings, hence turning people down who want to view the property. She is at the end of her tether trying to get out of this contract. Don't use this agent. They are incompetent, lack any communication skills and behave like rogues when you try to leave.

Southgate Branch, if I could give zero stars I would. They did not even send anyone round to the house when a viewer was coming. I had to show them round. Sometimes they told the client they would meet outside our house at the agreed time but would not show up. I use to see people wandering up and down the street and had to go out and ask them in. We were even told off for turning up at the office to speak with them being told we should have booked an appointment. Hopeless!!

TrustpilotStratford Branch have been useless
Stratford Branch have been useless, very charming agent valued the property and got me signed up and then it all went south from there. It took them almost 2 weeks to list the property, incl. put the board up on the wrong house. After just one week and 2 viewings they tried to bully me into reducing the price - I was extremely offended by the language they used and had to complain. Since then radio silence - no wonder house prices are falling. Going to rent with Openrent or sell it later with Strike for free - at least if I have to discount the house it costs me nothing to sell it. This is my first experience of high street agents for a long time and hopefully my last ever.

Amazing team at the tamworth branch, I could not fault them, from the minute we looked around the house until the minute we picked the key's up and if you need a mortgage, countrywide mortgages within the branch is definitely the one to use suki is amazing and continued to support after we got out key's. I have rented a property with Bairstow Eves and I have stayed there for nearly 3 years. When I left not only that it took them more than 2 months to release the deposit but they have retained half of the initial deposit for some things that was damaged before I have rented the property. I know that the new tenant has moved in next day after we moved out and the new tenant has clean the garden for which Bairstow eves have retain 120£ from my deposit. The garden was left in the same state that we have taken. I am not saying that it took them 4 months to repair a main door that I couldn’t lock and I had to sleep at night with the door unlocked with a 4 years old child. I have also repainted all the house and repaired the garage and front door on my expense while I have lived there. When I have asked about the invoices for the money that they will retain for what they are saying that has been repaired they find different excuses not to provide them. So be careful when you renting with them as you won’t get the deposit back.

Hi, I have horrible experience with this agent. I live from 12 years in 55 Gloucester Road. All this time I looked after property, painted walls, doors and everything need fixing. Wend I moved in to property was full of bed bugs dirty carpet, I have to get aut toilet seat, bat tube cracked, toilet crack, tails in kitchen floor broken, garden was like in jungle and full off garbage. After I clean everything, the agent is coming to do property inspections, they even not inspected property bifor I moved in. In all this years the same agent is coming to check property and he always says:( I wish all properties to be like this. In all this years I ask to change the carpet in 2 rooms and change 2beds. This was all wat I ask. But every year after check property they send maintenance to do same bit in, like change sockets, bulbs, silicone even they don’t need to change. In 1year they send electricians to change lamps in bathroom, after 1week his son is coming to change again and wat his father change a wick bifor hi throw away. This is watt they do. If I call them, they never respond. Now they send maintenance to change fences in garden. Wend i ask them what they change, i can’t even see what they do, they start to scream and say they was doing to me a lot of favour. I call the agency but they don’t care. Finally aware contact end it in 5 may. But in February we signed new contract. After incident with maintenance, agent is coming to check property and start to see wi don’t pay to much rent for this property. And after call to my husband and tell him the landlord wants to increase rent with 500£ . We refuse that and agree to live house. In the end we pay everything in date and wait for deposit. 🙈🙈🙈🙈 this is nightmare for me, after they check and find things like they have to change a door, and lot of rubbish. I have to give them 50£ . All this guys in walthamstow agency are the same. I ask to speak with landlord. This is impossible for them. This is my experience with this agency. Be aware with them. Even you landlord or tenant. Thy will charge both.

'I was totally satisfied with Bairstow Eves during the sale of my house.They kept in touch with me and communicated throughout the whole process. Their explanations were clear. Each member of the staff that I had dealings with were friendly and personable and they helped to make everything easy from beginning to end. In particular, they were extremely quick to put my house on the market and worked very quickly to arrange the initial viewings. Their emails were friendly and not too formal.

My experience was a short one with Barstow (Sutton branch) when I simply asked to view a property. Confirmed I have my own AIP and without asking she goes on to try and sell me their services. I didn't agree to any financial consultation but they set one up anyway. I said I didn't need it and wasn't able to view the property without one. The fact they don't even ask and just set it up is so sly. Wouldn't recommend for anyone let alone a first time buyer.

If I could leave zero I would! We recently moved into a rental properrenting threw these cowboys! We've had nothing but problems, first no gas safety checks were conducted, major leak happened from bathroom to the kitchen leaving us with no power, could we get hold of anyone? No! We are left with major damage to our belongings and currently looking for somewhere else to move to! I also feel fro the landlord are they aware that this property is managed by such con artists!

I could write an essay on how bad this company is. Essentially once you sign the contract, you have 14 days under law to cancel, but after that period you have to give them their money. They were badgering me to get my flat on sale for a holiday period, and then they missed the holiday period with their sales event to get it online. Said it would have taken x3 weeks to take the photos and get it online. So I said give me back the keys, as I want to do some extra bits (new hob, lights, breakfast bar). Then I went to purple Bricks who had it online in 2 days, and told Bairstow Eves "I don't care if I have to pay you, I want nothing more to do with you". And complained. So their internal complaints service decided that it was my fault it wasn't online in time because I was holding it up by doing extra work. Even though I had the emails proving the opposite. So then I went to the Ombudsman just to waste more time, and asked them a simple question "When does the contract end?" To which they replied "We can't tell you because we're not legally trained". Then they sent me the code of conduct that the Ombudsman writes which is the legal framework that estate agents write their contracts against. And Bairstow Eves sent an illegible page in response, and said if I signed it I should understand it. So if they (all parties) can't answer a simple question like that, how are members of the public meant to have a full understanding of it? Especially when it mentions duration of the contract is in section 3 (of the estate agent's contract) - then you look for it and it goes: section 1,2,4,5,6,7,8.The bottom line is - they get your signature, and then they can go golfing or whatever else they get up to, and they're legally entitled under British law to their money once you sell with another agent, or find a buyer.* And everything else that's meant to represent consumer rights is a farce. *In terms of finding the buyer: they say they've always got people on the books even before it goes online. That even when another agent finds a buyer, it was them. That they might have told a spouse or sibling who informed your buyer. That if you find a buyer yourself and don't use another agent for two years, there's no way of proving it was you that found them, but the marketing period is indefinite. Even if the contract states the marketing period is for 5 months or so, it will still state it's indefinite at the same time, and they state that from the moment you've signed they've already got interested parties. Etc, etc.

Bairstow eves lettings Romford - never do any business with them. They have been charging huge fees from landlords and never return call or email. We have also complained to Customer care team 4 weeks back and there has been no progress in our complaint. The have charged us for annual renewal fee that was not included in the contract and inspite of multiple calls and emails we havent been refunded (all proof emailed to the team multiple times). None of the staff members are professional and inspite of multiple emails and calls we get informed that their manager will call us and they dont know anything about the matter.

Bairstow eves Bow branch etc. Called me back but because I was unable to secure the rented property within 6 days Failed to email me the property information that I requested. Failed to reply to my Whatsapp messages for a whole 4 days and have refused to explain why the property /properties is still advertised on EVERY search engine. Failed to explain why its being let at a different price and have blocked me from whatsapp. Just had an incoming call but they hung up before I could even pick up the phone that is sitting right next to me. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from Alan Harvey at Bairstow eves. Zero customer service skills

The agents are nice, but unfortunately they are capable of lowering the property's price. Despite assurances that the price is final, you shouldn't trust them. I do not recommend.

They don’t care about the state of the properties they rent out . They just want to get paid , keep the owner of the house happy . No rights for tenants , even if you have 6 kids they will serve you a section 21 after living in rubbish conditions and asking for it to be sorted . Minus 5 stars

GoogleSecond time I have used them for a purchase. Firstly Amber and then Shay helped me with the communication between the solicitors (they did not need to). Always replied my questions quickly, supported me and they tried their best to help. I cannot recommend them more. 5 stars
