Excellent, extremely helpful and supportive. Thoroughly recommended. You have found your estate agent, trust me! I was given the task of selling the family home where I had been caring for my Mother. It was a large 4 storey Edwardian semi-detached house and I'd never done anything like this before. I contacted a number of estate agents and there were some close contenders, but Vanessa from Charles Lear won the day with an empathic and sympathetic approach (we wanted to keep this as a home for a large family). She also quoted the highest starting sale price. Vanessa then advised us on how to present the house for sale, de-cluttering etc, and started the ball rolling WRT removals and clearance via one of their recommended firms. At first I did wonder whether all of the advice was strictly necessary but went along with it as Vanessa is the expert after all. Myself and my partner were also starting to seriously look at houses ourselves at the time. We quickly started to realise just how right Vanessa had been on every point. In fact our private joke when going around a less than well presented house became `Should have gone to Vanessa/CL'. The photos and EPC were done and a lovely brochure prepared in a matter of days. Vanessa even came round on the day the photographer was due and helped finish off the clearing up and arranging. The house then went on the market. Brigit then started showing around prospective buyers. Viewings were held for a week and we received our first offer on the first day, which in fact we ended up accepting. We had another 2-3 firm offers over the remainder of that week. The whole process was started late January and we completed towards the end of June. It was a very smooth process and when it was all over I was sad to part company as they had become good friends. Charles Lear was also very helpful when liaising with other estate agents on our behalf when we were looking at new properties. In fact some estate agents even mentioned how nice and helpful the team at Charles Lear had been. I've only mentioned two people at Charles Lear but everyone was involved one way or another as they work as one large team, all sharing the load and the benefits. So you're never left in the lurch wondering what is happening. There are few decisions in life where you think you wouldn't change a thing if you had to do it all over again, but this is definitely one of them. Thank you all for everything you've done and all the very best for the future.

Charles Lear are one of best agents to work with in Cheltenham. They have been proactive and engaged throughout our search, providing timely updates and feedback. They know the local landscape and will advise accordingly to help support decision making. They are part of a very small group of organisations who listen to what you want and actually act upon it. We have been trying to find a house for some time, during a tricky period for the market and they have been available and supportive at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for anything property related and will be using them in future if the opportunity arises.

Although Charles Lear found us a proceedable buyer extremely quickly, the sale of my late parents’ house has been a frustratingly lengthy process due to estate administrative issues unrelated to the sale itself. However, during the intervening months the team there were understanding and in regular contact. They were friendly, reassuring and professional.
