I’ve recently find a flat to rent with them.Good professional, efficient and quick.I would like to highlight Michael who was helping me and my flatmate in every step of the process, any problem he was quick to solve and give us the best solution. From the first Andrews we’re helpful and knowledgable about selling our house. Once an offer was accepted Kate Cullen worked so hard with difficult matters regarding the sale and also our purchase. Very helpful and prompt; answering all my many emails and ‘phone calls with a friendly air. Kate went far and above her role, and don’t think we would have been able to move without her. A true five star gem.

We rented a property in Bath via Andrews for 4 years and they made our lives a complete misery. It all started well but then they told us we had to have 3rd party liability insurance for white goods and included it in the contract we signed with the holding fee. This seemed to invalidate the need for a deposit but they said we'd lose our holding fee if we pulled out and we'd lose the tenancy if we didn't get an appropriate policy. After taking lots of advice we found out that its considered an unethical demand, but not illegal. Andrew pointed us in the direction of an insurer who wanted an extortionate amount so we felt like we were being scammed... one of us works in insurance so we managed to find someone who did it cheaply and when we told the letting agent they didn't seem happy we hadn't used their recommended provider but they at least allowed us to move in with the policy we had. Then we get bombarded with emails and phone calls trying to sell us various utilities after we'd specifically asked them not to pass on our contact details to anyone. We asked them to stop doing this but it took another 3 weeks before the marketing calls stopped. Next, after a 1-yr fixed term they told us we couldn't go on to a periodic term... this continued every year until the last when we threatened to move out, at which point they acceded and begrudgingly agreed a periodic term. They sent in property inspectors a minimum of once every 6 mths with weird excuses which eventually felt invasive and the staff were exceptionally rude to us on more than one occasion. Our landlady was elderly and we suspected they were not being honest with her - our neighbours felt the same. We felt lied to and betrayed and 4 years after leaving the property we're now looking to rent again but specifically avoiding all listings with Andrews because we don't trust them - such a shame when they have some nice properties to let, but we're not prepared to go through that again. There are better letting agents in Bath.

Although I am relatively new in role it does sound like you had a poor experience with Andrews for which I am sorry.Delivering excellent customer experiences, in line with our core values is very important to Andrews, and something which we are now more energetically focused on, and whilst I imagine that is of little comfort to you, I do hope you will consider Andrews for your property needs again in the future.Carl HowardGroup Chief Executive

Andrews has a sponsor with DC law, to get them clients. We bought the flat on 29/06/2022, however the process is not completed yet. They haven't finish the land registration in HM.Andrews told us the costs would be around £2000, DC law charged us £3500, trying to duplicate 2 proceedings.Even if you buy a property from Andrews, don't use DC Law for the legal proceedings, even Andrews insists you to contract them

How refreshing to actually find an estate agent who is not only honest (no wide angle images what you see is what you get) but also after numerous agents in the Bristol area being extremely disinterested (I am a single parent with one income) all the lovely agents in the Keynsham office (particularly Georgia) were so incredibly reassuring and non-judgemental and went our of her way to make things happen for us to move. I cannot rate this estate agent highly enough and if you're looking for honesty and being by your side the whole way do not look at any other estate agents in the area (They were all incredibly unhelpful and actually seemed bored and never called back despite saying they would). I am incredibly grateful for their hard work in finding us the perfect place to live. They go above and beyond. Don't bother with any other agent seriously. It's not all about money for this agent.

I am disappointed with the company’s way of handling an holding deposit . They requested we pay this amount (£346.15 ) to let a 2 bed flat after failing the reference check. We demanded for our deposit back. We were told that we couldn’t get a refund because we told them we earn more. I have requested them to send us a proof or document where we confirm our earning. Nothing was sent. All they said was for us to get a solicitor that the deposit has been handed to the landlord and they will not refund and they will not reply any more email from us.

Under the Tenant fees act 2019, if referencing fails due to an omission or incorrect details being provided by a tenant for referencing causing them to fail the application, we are legally able to retain your holding deposit. I understand it looks like you asked for further information on this and on which document you stated your total earnings, I’m sorry this information was not provided to you at the time. Friendly helpful staff at the Romford branch were good at both managing and later selling our properties. Paul the manager, and especially Kish, worked hard to find tenants, manage the properties and when we decided to sell, kish found buyers for us and followeed the whole process through to completion. We had 30m years of great support from the whole team.
