GoogleMy mum enquired multiple times about a property being marketed by Balgores in Chelmsford and repeatedly tried to arrange a viewing. On several occasions, we were told that the property had already been sold and that viewings were no longer available. However, despite being told this, the property continued to appear on major property websites for weeks afterwards. More recently, we even received an automated email notification advising that the asking price had been reduced from £450,000 to £425,000, which suggests the property remained on the market the entire time. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Had we been told that an offer had been accepted or that the property was still available but subject to negotiations, we would have understood. Instead, we were repeatedly informed that it had been sold, which appears inconsistent with the fact that it remained advertised and has since had a price reduction. My mother was a genuine buyer with the financial means to proceed and made multiple enquiries, yet she was never given a fair opportunity to view the property. The lack of clear and accurate communication left us feeling dismissed and undervalued as prospective purchasers. Based on our experience, customer service and communication fell well below the standard we would expect from a professional estate agent.

GoogleI have worked with 3 debt agencies now recovering debt owed by non-paying tenants and Debbie at AN Expert Consultancy was by far the best. Her communication was excellent, her knowledge and advice was also excellent and she got us the result when we thought all was lost. GoogleThe place itself was gorgeous, there was a wide selection of plants available, and the cafe was really nice too. Unfortunately the experience was marred by the fact it just isn’t wheelchair accessible at all, despite what Google says. As a keen gardener, my mum was really excited to go here, but the car park is gravel with lots of uneven bits and potholes meaning she could barely drive her electric wheelchair through and got stuck multiple times. When she finally got inside, the only way to get through the building is to go over a wooden bridge which has steps and one narrow ramp. However, the ramp has a large lip at the bottom of it, meaning her wheelchair couldn’t get over and we had to physically lift her. The exit to the outside area also has a ramp, but there are stairs at the bottom meaning she couldn’t get outside at all. The paths outside are extremely narrow with deep gravel on either side so even if she had been able to get out there, she would’ve struggled to get around safely. It’s really frustrating when a place claims to be accessible but clearly hasn’t been designed with wheelchair users in mind. My mum left feeling disappointed and upset because she’d been looking forward to visiting and exploring the gardens. I’m leaving this review not to criticise the staff, who were lovely, but so that other wheelchair users and their families know what to expect before making the trip.

GoogleI rented a room in a shared flat for 7 years and had a wonderful experience throughout my tenancy. The flat was comfortable and well-maintained, and any issues were always addressed promptly and professionally. Communication with the landlord/agency was excellent, friendly, straightforward, and fair. Moving out was smooth, and I received my full deposit back on the same day I left, without any problems. I’m grateful for such a positive renting experience and would happily recommend them to anyone.

GoogleI had a viewing booked with this company and was on my way and on getting there I was told the room was already taken and I was showed another room that was more expensive than the one I initially planned to see. They engage in bidding wars, I would not advice anyone to use them as they do this to box you into putting out offers after offers and competing with other people for same property.
Emmanuel, we are sorry that you missed out on your chosen room, but we believe your review does not reflect the situation fairly. Our process, once a property has been viewed, is designed to be transparent and fair to all applicants. The London rental market is extremely competitive, and it is common for a property or room to receive multiple sometimes dozens of offers after block viewings. Ultimately, the landlord has the right to choose the tenant, and this is often based on a combination of the rental amount offered and the suitability of the applicant. As you were unsuccessful with this room, we suggested alternative options that might meet your needs as a gesture of goodwill.
