Phoned the Basildon office to book a viewing. The next morning, I received 3 calls (and counting) from local agents before 9:30am trying to get me to sell my house through them. All part of Countrywide and apparently details are passed on automatically. Well, would be nice if I had been made aware or, beggar belief, asked to give consent. Tried calling their complaints line, but obviously the line is busy. AVOID!

After renting with Bairstow Eves, Billericay for 5 years. What an awful experience. The attitude from the staff to the wait time of repairs (months) was ludicrous. Even to this date trying to our FULL deposit back took over 2 weeks! Why? I am so glad we don’t have to deal with this company anymore! Good bye & farewell.

Poor service all around. Estate agents sold services and then once that was done never bothered to really keep me updated. I had to ring them with updates and then when making an official complaint, that was just ridiculous as well.They have given conflicting/false information and haven’t been helpful towards myself and partner. Wouldn’t use to buy, sell or rent a house with these!

The agents here are completely irresponsible. They don't follow up and treat people badly. I am a buyer when dealing with them. They lost our information sent to them, don't care about data privacy, and are very rude when we ask for a confirmation whether they have finally received our details. I will never let them sell any of my own properties

I used the Clacton On Sea branch to sell my late mothers property. Everyone was sympathetic at what was a difficult time. They kept me informed throughout and kept the sale moving forward. Im not local and they went over and above getting a meter reading for me. Id highly recommend.

Update: tried to get in touch with Head Office. Only get an answering machine and still no reply weeks later. Seriously terrible business. Do not use them.Having been polite and patient with Bairstow Eves Lincoln for over 1 year now, it is clear that they are incapable of managing our property for us. No response to e mails. Calls are met with surly indifference. Very disappointing.

Scott and Tina at the Chafford Hundred, Essex branch were extremely helpful and supportive throughout a rather complicated process. I put my flat on the market a year ago, and got lots of viewings, but then had to take it off the market due to serious ill-health. I put it back on the market when I was better - it was sold within 24 hours! Highly recommended.
