Tried lettingaproperty, tried haart, but Bairstow eves has been the best by far. I want to give a big thank you to the team especially Sally who stuck with me during a difficult long eviction process with another agency. After a long road and negotiation I was happy with the offer Bairstow eves gave me and I want to also thank Zak for setting everything up. Even when there was a small mistake with the statement at first the team made sure to fix it immediately and everything was back on track. Really glad I picked this agency. I plan to stay with them for the long term provided the fees remain the same and the service stays great.

Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Tamworth branch - appalling service

When I moved into the rental property over 2years ago, the team were fantastic. When leaving, it was different staff and the experience was awful. The receptionist Nicole did not know what she was doing and although always polite, she couldn't answer any questions and let out giggles throughout calls, even when I was in distress. The Manager Ellis never returned any calls over a 6 week period and when she eventually responded on email, there was no apology. My deposit was delayed by 7 weeks since leaving property and a dispute had to be raised, despite the property being left in excellent condition. There was no accountability of the distress and financial impact caused and even when I asked why I had no response back despite leaving numerous messages, I had no response. I'm appalled by the service given at Tamworth branch and I would never consider using Bairstow Eves again.

Jane Crosland guided us expertly through the process of selling our family home, gave brilliant advice and her experience in pricing and marketing were invaluable (and spot on). Waste of time

Talk the talk and that’s about it. We are with Coventry city branch. The keys handed over 26.2.26. Still not advertised on rightmove or their own website We specifically said we want a quick sale. I spoke with Ryan Tuesday 10.3.26 who said it would be on both sites within 24/48 hours. This did not happen. I called again Friday 13th he said Trevor was busy so it would be Monday/Tuesday and I said this was not good enough He said he would call me back … no call. I lefts a message later the same day but again no response. I left a message Saturday and no response. It’s now Monday 11.26am and no response. So many other estate agents therefore I recommend you avoid these. We will be contacting other estate agents now as I am told we can add another agent so they had no competition to sell and now they may have. Also the house has been removed from their website and rightmove with no discussion. Just waiting on a call back for an explanation

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.

I received a first class service from Bairstow Eves, Chafford Hundred. I switched to them from another agent who was struggling to get my property rented out. From the initial viewing with Rebecca to the service I received throughout from both Zach and Ben, it has been impressive. There were many viewings and I was always kept up to date promptly and even when the viewing did not result in a let, there was always another potential tenant in the pipeline. Bairstow Sutton In Ashfield branch has been wonderful. We have had bad experiences before with moving houses. The staff there put us at ease straight away. Bethany came and valued it. Updated us every step of the way, later helped me sort all paperwork. Laura and Lisa were there to ease out nerves and Ebony kept us informed throughout, chasing up our questions to solicitors and the other estate agent. All the team were professional and efficient. But most of all caring about their clients.

DO NOT TRUST BAIRSTOW EVES, Property Rented Without a Valid Licence

I am writing this to warn other families. My family and I have experienced nothing but stress and chaos since renting a property through Bairstow in May 2026.After moving in, we discovered to our horror that the property was let without a valid property licence. When we raised this serious legal issue, the agency completely absolved themselves of responsibility, blaming the landlord. Under UK housing law, letting agents have a strict legal duty to verify and ensure proper licensing is in place before letting a property.The customer service at this branch is shockingly unprofessional. Particular staff members, Mehmet, Rejaul, and Exene, are completely evasive. They take weeks to respond to emails and refuse to answer the phone. On the rare occasion we do manage to speak to them over the phone, they make empty promises to send over details, only to go completely silent and ignore all subsequent emails.Avoid Bairstow at all costs if you value your peace of mind and legal safety. They take your money and completely abandon their legal obligations.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Bairstow Eves Chafford Hundred, especially with Heather Wood. For over a month and a half, I have been trying to get my deposit back without any success. Heather Wood has been particularly ignorant and unresponsive, and the agency as a whole has not been communicating or responding to my emails. I have had to constantly chase them for updates. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for their clients is unacceptable. I had no choice but to raise a dispute via the My Deposits scheme to try and retrieve my money. This whole experience has been incredibly stressful and frustrating. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and responsive service. Their poor communication and failure to return my deposit in a timely manner have caused significant financial strain.

We traveled 50mins to see a property because we were considering to travel the distance. The Coventry branch wouldn’t pick up and the vendor was kind enough to show us around. I have since had no call back to check for feedback. When we went to see another property previous to this I was told by that vendor that there was a delay from this estate agent (I ended up booking the viewing with another) but I was told by the vendor I was the “same woman” so far I’m shocked at their service and frankly it’s put us off from wanting to move to their area. I have bought and sold house so I am no novice. The house I was selling this time was my mothers. Therefor we as a family were still grieving. Information was sparse, not clear and if we had all the information we should have had we would not have accepted the offer and kept the house on the market. I felt the company was not working for us. I have spoken with B Eves but got nowhere. I would not use them again, very disappointed
