This is more of a review on the state of estate agencies and their model in the UK - and Bairstow Eves is a great example.I have been a tenant with them for + 1 year. This is the experience:- Something needs to be fixed +10 days and 20 emails to progress- You need to inform them on a matter +5 emails til they get it right- You need to warn new tenants on a roof repair: the agent doing the viewing has no clue on the property he is showing, no one cares- You need to check out on the property: they ask you on a number of missing items / changes to the flat you had already communicated eons ego- You need your deposit back : + 10 calls and 8 emails and no response People are unable to progress and work efficiently as everyone is an intermediary. You need a repair, 3 third parties and platforms. You need your deposit back, contact these 2 other teams.The industry is full of intermediaries and every single touchpoint is a pain for the customer - everyone forwarding an email. The business that solves for this will change the industry.

With few words and sorry for the grammar mistakes DO NOT USE Bairstoweves in Purley at least this lettings office because is the one I know better than anyone.If you read my review I will save you money,stress and time...Perfect experience from their lettings negotiator Ivaylo and warm welcoming from Julie Goddard their Lettings manager until they give you the house keys and take deposit and rent,after that moment I realized that was "too good to be true", never responded again in our repair requests as should with the excuse of no response of the landlord. Finally the Landlord served us with Eviction notice 2 months ago and we moved in a new place .Unprofessional staff 100%,I bet that they are under-educated too for the role and this is the excuse I give them of handling bad the customer service. After 2 months stress and the compensation disrepair and fight over emails,they refunded £100 as goodwill. And the cherry in the cake is we have to fight to get our deposit back because trying to find excuses not to give it back.This is a lesson that never again deal with Lettings agency.

When I was a lettings client Daryl Myhill seemed to have no knowledge or interest and was sloppy throughout. Jayne Dillon was simply unprofessional. I don’t want them treating other tenants like this.

TrustpilotVery disappointed with the "service"…
Very disappointed with the "service" they gave to my elderly parents. They talked a good talk to get their sale but their service has been non existent. They pressured my parents into using their solicitors and I had to contact them to remind them that any instructions must come through me. They said they would mailshot properties for my parents to buy but no evidence of this. They had 3 offers during the first weekend of advertising the property and then immediately removed it from the website even though it was offers over. Absolutely no contact from the agents. Appalling service from start to finish. Very disappointed.

Called the North Finchley branch to arrange a valuation over a week ago. I explained that I lived miles away from the property and I explained that the property was a ground floor flat and agent told me it was a maisonette. He said all ground floors are maisonettes! However I booked a valuation appointment for today at 11. I waited until 11.30 and called the branch and was told that they had tried to call me in the week to cancel and left a voicemail, they did not and I dont have voicemail. They did not email the cancellation. I told them I had emails confirming and asked why they didn't call me today as I live so far away and he apologised and wanted to reschedule! Very unprofessional. Do not use, I won't be.

GoogleMy agent was AWESOME, she held my hand throughout the process, reassuring me that problems or issues that arose were not problems and she had solutions for them ALL. I was able to leave the process in her hands and literally not worry. Bottom line, she went the extra mile.

Really unhappy with the service especially the Croydon branch. We moved out of a property in July and provided bank details to the company after our landlord was happy for our deposit to be released. A month later they are ignoring our emails about when our deposit money for our previous property will be released to us. We understand it has to go through a process but the landlord said he’s happy we provided details a month ago I feel you take the money from us as quickly as you can but make us wait so long to get OUR OWN money back. Really poor service

GoogleWe have been renting a property with Bairstow since January 2020. First class service from the start. We had maintenance work scheduled and Bairstow kept in constant communication. They were a massive help by offering to attend maintenance appointments at our property if we were unable to. Much better experience than previous estate agents I have dealt with. Highly recommend.

The help and support from the jubilee Crescent Office in Coventry have been nothing short of exemplary. The best customer service I have had in a long time. Clare, Jodie and Gemma have taken time to explain the sale in great detail to my my mum, have supported with paperwork, with great care and patience. The team have even kept an eye on the market and sent through suggestions for suitable property’s. The communication is second to none. I would certainly recommend to anyone selling in that area. Just outstanding!
