If I could add another star I would

If I could add another star I would. Selling my late mother's leasehold flat had become a nightmare and we were at our wits end and looking for a third Estate Agents when my sister found the MGY Barry Branch almost by accident. I could write a glowing report just about all the hoped for agents' services alone that they provided - eg: excellent marketing, maintaining consistent contact with us - reporting potential interest, feedback on every visit etc etc but that was just the assured background to the truly professional expertise that Vicci Shires provided. The real work was how she kept the process moving once we had an offer. We were unfortunate with our very tardy solicitors (a separate part of the nightmare) and Vicci knowledgeably, diligently and appropriately kept everything in motion from both ends (I’ve no doubt our buyer is as grateful as we are) keeping us fully informed about when we needed to intervene. In addition to which she was also consistently supportive and reassuring. I shudder to think how much longer the process would have taken without her! We are forever grateful!

MGY told us to sleep on a soiled mattress

MGY have told us that we should sleep on a soiled mattress in their furnished property of £1600 a monthMy partner and I have autism and were looking to rent a flat with MGY just before Christmas, this was our first bit of independence together. We feel MGY have taken advantage of us by lying to us, lying on the tenancy agreement and having absolutely no empathy to the living situation they presented us with.The day before we signed to agreement we had a viewing booked at the flat, they cancelled this hours before because "the landlord was cleaning the flat" and removing the furniture we had asked to be removed. This was a lie, the flat never got cleaned and the landlord hid his belongings in the drawers and cupboards.When we went to sign the tenancy agreement, the documents stated that the belonging would be cleared from drawers and cupboards, this was not the case. Jonathan also told us point blank that the landlord had cleaned and cleared the flat, so we signed the agreement. In fact this was not the case, there was dust on every work surface and skirting board, there were hairs on the toilet seats and there was a pungent smell left in the fridge.We arrived at the flat, we gathered together all of the landlords belongings which filled the entire hallway, we didn't even have room for our belongings. He left everything hidden in drawers including a babyseat, bedding, towels etcThe worst part about this situation was that the mattress in the bedroom was soiled and the room smelt. The thin mattress topper covering this was also smelling and we couldn't even be in the same room with this, let alone sleep on it as MGY instructed us to do. I have just had a partial double mastectomy surgery in November so I would not want to risk my health by sleeping on someone's soiled mattressWe spent 4 days cleaning the property, unable to sleep there, we received no definite date on when the mattress would be removed and replaced from the landlord and when given the opportunity to not live there we took it.MGY have had no empathy for us, they were argumentative, not professional and lied on legal documents.Being autistic, this has heavily affected our mental health, caused us to have meltdowns and have left us feeling really depressed. We are extremely disappointed at the treatment we have received and I would not recommend MGY.

Not complacent

Very good at selling our property, only took a few days. The time between selling and exchanging took a long time, but not their fault more the other estate agents and various people in the chain. We were kept updated regularly and I only had to contact towards the end to find out if things were still moving forward. The actual exchange/moving day was a disaster though. I don’t think anyone knew what was going on. New residents that had employed a removal company turning up 2 hours before any money had cleared and before we had packed everything up. Not heard a thing from them since, not asked for feedback or review, which I find unprofessional especially as they made a lot of money from us.
