One of the worst letting agents in Cardiff. They seem like a 2 bit ramshackle company pretending to be letting agents with the main intention of fleecing students. We lived in a flat with a terrible neighbour downstairs - an older woman who was noisey at nights regularly with a flat full of friends who stayed until the early hours of the morning. We complained to the neighbour but got a barrage of abuse. We complained to JNR and they did nothing but speak to her and turn the blame back on us. Eventually we asked to leave. They said we could but only when they had found another tenant to take over our contract. Eventually we managed to move out. They were initially a little difficult paying back our deposit but then we found out they hadn't put the deposit in the DPS scheme. On bringing this up they paid the deposit back in full. The flat was dirty when we moved in. When we needed maintence they sent people in without giving us 24 hours notice on numerous occasions. Landlords please note - if you're looking to let through JNR they didn't complete any property inspections. Play safe and avoid JNR.

THIS IS AN AGENCY WHO TOLD US IT WAS OKAY TO LIVE WITH RATS/MICE

DO NOT EVER RENT WITH JNR. HORRIBLE!This is an absolutely vile and disgusting agency.Had a very bad rat/mouse problem which pest control confirmed was due to disrepair of property. Started with foul stench in room followed by maggots raining from ceiling right onto bed. Discovered that mouse/rat died in ceiling.As this agency is manned by a bunch of inefficient, incompetent first class scums, it took forever for our complaints to be dealt with. When they finally came around to extract the dead rat/mouse, this bunch of stinking morally depraved tools tried to pass it off as a dead bat. Practically lied to our faces to cover their stinking a***s!They even had the audacity to tell us that the property was habitable despite discovery of a live mouse in bathroom and lots of rat droppings and urine in property.Work ethic and service attitude stank more than the rotting vermin in the ceiling. DO NOT EVER RENT WITH THEM.

☡☡AVOID IF YOU'RE A STUDENT☡☡ Struggle to understand how you can do such a poor job, I think they have a full time team of 3+ people in their office with computers, I could probably do a better job in half a day on my phone. Some highlights during my tennancy include •the two men that came round to change our boiler, only to discover they "might have the wrong house actually" •a gentleman that came round to smash up perfectly good bathroom tiling that no one had complained about (no one used the shower in that room once), just to put up a fresh set of tiles???? 🤔 •the upstairs shower that would leak THROUGH THE KITCHEN LIGHTS on the floor below - in their best interest to get this fixed as it will just cause a long term mould problem. Obviously sod all was done about it. Needless to say 6 weeks has passed since we left, and after several fabrications of £160 painting/per wall for pre existing blu tac marks in every room in the house (which we are disputing), I'm starting to feel like I'm being cheated out of my deposit. After a year of being with them I am confident that this will not be spent on any useful repairs and yeah it's just been a joke from start to finish really, except we aren't even finished so yeah 🙃🙃🙃

Very helpful staff and a fabulous house. This estate agent only seems to deal with fantastically modem and newly decorated properties. Ours was wonderful. Any little snags were dealt with swiftly. A**** Highly recommended.

FRAUDSTERS

Do not never trust any kind of property or rent to them. They are very incompetent, unpresentables and liers. They one day say one thing to you and the next day it's another different thing. There's no communication between theirs. Neither professionality nor seriousness. As concern myself and my experience with theirs, I'll never trust in JNR anymore. They don't never refund me the money of diposit back. According to theirs, it was because in the house there was some broken things made my me and my flatmates, but this is not true and we have proove to prove it. We call several times to the agency to come at house to fix a lot of problems, but they don't do anything. Instead of fix it, they say that the landord doesn't want to pay for fix it nothing.We had mice problems due to old pipes and holds in house, and their unique solution was put some potion in the house. Another things like up floor, bed frames, electricity instalation on the kitchen or damps, never had any solution.

Galo did a great job fixing the window and we had a pleasant conversation afterwards. He has been fixing things in our flat for a while now and I thought it appropriate to commend him for his work. Sometimes when we need some work done in the house the handymen are sent before they give the job to Galo which takes more time so be sure to request him first if you need an expert!

Absolutely terrible, nothing ever gets done, the staff obviously don't talk to each other because every time you call about the same problem they don't seem to have a clue. Completely incompetent and utterly useless. When they eventually do take action it will take weeks, with the insistence that 'everything has been taken care of.' Possibly the worst letting agency in Cardiff. Chimps with typewriters would be a substantial improvement. The first two little piggies are living in better housing conditions than the properties JnR have to offer. Avoid like cancer.

Refuse to fix boiler IT'S BEEN 5 DAYS in December

Been without heating and hot water for 5 days JNR REFUSE to fix this and when told we"d call environmental health shouted us to 'Do it then!'. Washing machine takes almost 4 hours to wash (no repairs) and oven also doesn't work (no repairs) we at having a misrable time living here. Having 2 people from JNR banging on the door asking us to LEAVE despite all rent being paid up to date. All good reviews on here are clearly fabricated

You will probably be ripped off

My fds and I rent a house with them, they never repaired the faulty items (even if they promise to repair, you have to wait for ages...) and the house condition was not as good as they said. At the end of tenancy, be prepared to get a huge deduction in the deposit for something trivial and already existed in the house before you rent it. That may not happen to you but it happened to me, so think thrice before you consider using their service.And if you know your agent assigns the maintenance of the house(property management) to JNR, then my suggestion is find another one. If you are not sure, why not ask???I WILL NEVER USE JNR SERVICE ANYMORE

Best letting agents in Cardiff!

My partner and I have been renting a property on Richmond Road with JNR for two years and in that time they've been friendly, informative and readily contactable. Maintenance requests were dealt with within a week and best of all for us we were given plenty of notice for viewings at our property. When we signed for our second year we had some requests and JNR were very accommodating. We haven't left the property just yet so I can't speak to the efficiency of returning the bond but based on the past two years I can't imagine there being any issues at all. We're sad to be leaving but would definitely use JNR again in the future, especially after some awful experiences with other agencies in Cardiff.

Very Helpful & Friendly Letting Agents!

We are renting an 8 bedroom house with JNR this year and they have been extremely helpful during the whole process. Very friendly on the viewing and made signing the contract and paying the deposit easy. We also got a deal because we signed before the Christmas break so we didn't have to pay any agency fees which not many other agencies offer!! They have also been excellent since we moved in with maintenance and even coming round to show us how to work the washing machine!! Personal touch with this agency, you will not be disappointed!!

The people that work here are awful. Slow response to every issue and then thought it was appropriate to attempt to take half of our deposit despite leaving the house in a much better condition than given to us. Any other industry would be criminal, dunno how they go to work in the morning feeling alright with what they do.

Recently moved into a property with JNR and they’ve been amazing. Previous tenants destroyed the place however they’ve helped with so many things and the moving in process has been easy and comfortable. The maintenance can sometimes take a while (but when don’t they) but I would absolutely recommend!

WORST AGENCY EVER

where to begin, worst agency ever. please do not sign with them, they are rude to tenants, do not respond to emails, do not deal with maintenance issues, when arriving to the property everything was broken/dirty which has been confirmed by other people also. I wouldn't be surprised that the positive comments were written by people who work there. please do not sign with this agency.
