GoogleWe have had nothing but trouble since moving in three months ago. Incorrect inventory, no official documents, no paper contract, forgot to actually send contract until an hour before we were to pick up the keys, still a number of issues to be resolved since we first reported them 3 months ago, never reply to emails, apparently have no idea where the owner of the property is or how to get hold of him ... the list goes on. They are friendly people but absolutely nothing gets done and the rare thing that does get done is done incorrectly. If I could give zero stars I would.

GoogleThe lady who works in here is super rude, the young lads are too scared to speak when the landlord is around they let the houses get run down just about making money.Avoid renting from these people I've seen first hand how they treat students and all tenants just rude and about money they can make from you.Avoid!!!!!

GooglePoor customer service, non existent support, late for everything and never reply to emails (unless the are related to charges).
I have been waiting for 5 months to receive the flat inventory (and they give you 10 days to confirm it from the date of moving in the house). No communications at all to one of the tenants in our shared flat (this person has not even received the copy of the contract) and a totally defective bed that was not replace before moving in, and it has not been replaced yet after 5 months.
AVOID at any cost.

YellThese guys were very good.
Used a lot of estate agents over the last 3 years - the good, the bad, the very bad and the very, very ugly! The guys at JNR were helpful from the start, honest and open through out - just started another tenancy agreement for next year, and the flat I got is amazing! Really chuffed. Thank you Rosie and Hamam :0)

YellAmazing staff
Samantha at JNR was amazing. She helped me through the process of reletting and was always great at keeping me up to date with everything. Super efficient and helpful, much better than other letting agents I have used in Cardiff over the last few years. Highly recommend Samantha and her team.

GoogleIt's my honestly-held personal opinion that the service JNR Properties provides with regards to holding deposits is sub-par and as a result JNR should be avoided at all costs.
JNR Properties' failure to reimburse a Β£137.70 holding fee when a tenancy agreement falls through is disgraceful and deeply unfair - this is especially true when a tenant has to deal with slow response times and erroneous paperwork from JNR. In my view, holding deposits should be refunded when a tenancy agreement doesn't go through.
If you're considering moving to Cardiff and looking for a place to live, I'd advise taking your business elsewhere and avoiding JNR Properties!

GoogleJNR Properties were really unprofessional when I tried to rent a flat with them - they sent me loads of inaccurate documents, including a contract with the wrong dates on. I had to chase them for things, it was like they just stopped caring after they'd had my holding fee off me!
I decided to stop pursuing the tenancy after they were so sloppy and asked for my holding fee back (because it's their fault I wasn't able to go ahead with signing the contract) and they refused π
Waste of time, waste of money and all-round unpleasant experience (they even demanded the deeds to my dad's house, despite me being a young professional with my own income). Think carefully before you try to rent from JNR.

GoogleThis is my personal, honest opinion and review of experiences from dealing with JNR Properties:
JNR Properties have failed to return a holding fee on at least one occasion. I know a prospective tenant who felt they had to withdraw from the process of letting due to errors from JNR, who then failed to return the holding fee. I would recommend avoiding JNR Properties.
I have witnessed JNR Properties repeatedly send documents with inaccurate information, such as contracts with the wrong dates on and receipts with mistakes.
JNR Properties has made what I believe to be unfair demands regarding guarantors for prospective tenants. The company has demanded deeds to the homes of prospective tenantsβ family members to validate them as a guarantee. I believe this is a major overstep and an unfair ask.
To improve JNR Propertiesβ service, the company director Mehrdad Chegounchei should intervene and review current complaints from unhappy customers who have had their holding fees wrongly withheld. One tenant is owed Β£137.70 - this should be returned as soon as possible.

GoogleBest thing about JNR properties is that they are quick on maintenance. Galo is the best, he has fixed our cooker and our boiler so quickly and it hilarious. Heβs brilliant at what he does, and knows what he is doing. No fuss at all! Heβs lovely and very professional. Thanks Galo!

GoogleAwful experience. We moved in to a property to find they had put half a building site in our back garden. Workmen daily, and early in the morning, smoking and chatting outside bedroom windows. Also had a cracked bathroom sink they refused to fix for 6 months. And then had the cheek to take loads of our deposit for little scuff marks etc. Do not reccomend. Internal staff seemed like nice people which is a shame.

YellInvasive guarantor system, withheld fee, incorrect paperwork
From my personal experience of dealing with JNR Properties supporting a friend, JNR failed to return a holding fee after they made repeated errors on letting documents and my friend withdrew with concerns. I've seen JNR repeatedly send inaccurate documents and receipts with mistakes. Also - JNR has made what I believe are really unfair demands about guarantors, demanding the deeds to the home of my friend's family member to validate them! this is so invasive and completely not proportionate. Terrible service - avoid!

GoogleDo not waste your time renting from this landlord, I have been living in one of their properties for 6 months now, the basement to my apartment which was sold to me as usable space is ridden with mould and has ruined several pieces of furniture, recieved 0 communication from this company and have had to consistently pester them to get any real communication. Save your money and time and rent elsewhere - everyone that works here should feel awful for the poor job they do
