Finnley Wilbourn in particular has been absolutely fantastic from the day we moved in. We have had a few issues with our flat and landlord not getting back to us but Finnley has always been on the ball. His response rates are always brilliant and he is constantly trying to find solutions for us. He’s been a great property manager!

Gyan was very helpful in both understanding our requirements and in advising us on a plan for moving at the time we wanted to move at. While we're not looking to move just yet, it's nice knowing he'll be looking out for properties we would like and will get in contact with us again closer to the time with details of these. I felt he engaged positively and concerned himself with brokering good relationships between landlords and tenants.

I recently was selling an apartment…

I recently was selling an apartment that was rented for a long period of time. Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of issues that needed resolving and some unexpected complications. Abdullah was extremely helpful in dealing with these on my behalf. Given that I was selling the flat - making the possibility of longer term rental business unavailable - I must say that I was very pleased that Abdullah was so accommodating. He seemed to offer help from a genuine desire to solve problems for all parties, which really helped things move along quickly and easily, rather than from a desire to drum up more business. Highly recommended.

We’ve had a really positive experience working with Rishi Singh for the purchase of our flat. Having had some negative experiences with a previous estate agent, I can say that Rishi has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire purchase process. Rishi has shown a high level of professionalism at all times and has been consistently quick at returning our calls and emails. I really appreciated that he regularly checked in with us about the progress of the flat purchase. He was prompt to contact the seller and their solicitor to find out further information about some delays. We’ve been lucky to have a smooth purchase (thankfully no Japanese knotweed this time round!) but had anything serious come up, I’ve no doubt that Rishi would have handled it well. Thank you Rishi!

M&P currently look after the flat I used to live in and a couple of months ago, I decided it was time for me to move out. During this process, I was faced with many challenges and hurdles which resulted in the handover process taking longer than expected. When Weronika stepped in and took over handling the change of tenancy, she clearly outlined what had to be done, understood my concerns and took into consideration my timeline and the deadline of needing to get things done. Probably my best renting experience

I have been a tenant in the property for almost a year now and in that time there has been a couple of very standard type issues arise. I must say, not only can I get hold of Derbhla (my property manager) on both direct line and mobile, she has been incredibly thorough in seeing all issues or requests through and double checking it’s resolved a week or so later.This level of detail and care not only makes me confident that no matter what arises in the future, I have someone from Marsh & Parsons on the end of the phone, but also that I get additional value for money on top of my rent. In a day and age where renting is difficult at the best of times, Derbhla has been nothing short of brilliant throughout my renting experience with her and her team.

Excellent renewal delivery by Natalie

I was contacted to renew my rental contract around 3 months before expiry which I thought was super efficient. Natalie was incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, efficient and friendly aside from providing an excellent service regarding the renewal negotiation and process. She is by far the best compared to numerous agents I have had to deal with over the past 6 years from various firms, exceeding all expectations! She is definitely an asset to M&P and I could only wish she was allocated to deal with everything from front office to renewals as a one stop consultant from start to finish now I’m looking to start a new. Yes she really was that brilliant!

As a first time homebuyer in this particularly volatile and chaotic real estate climate, Oliver has truly been beyond outstanding in this whole process. He ensured everything went smoothly from the moment we had our first viewing, all the way to exchange and move in. He was inquisitive and asked us all of the right questions to make sure we were on track with everything on our end as well was the other parties involved. Oliver was always quick to respond to answer any and all questions we had - even worked after hours and while on his time off as well to help us out. We recently purchased a flat through Marsh & Parsons and were very pleased with our experience. Our agent, Rishi, was attentive and helpful throughout the process without being pushy. Rishi was always prompt in communicating with the seller for us, resulting in successful negotiations and a very smooth purchase. He even took time out of his day to let us take photos of the property between exchange and completion, so that we could send them to the RSPCA for a prospective adoption. We had a quick turnaround for moving into the flat and Giles was very pleasant, easy to deal with and responsive to emails. Tatiana was also helpful in answering our many questions! It might just be useful in future to have an idea of the timeframe for the process and to make this clear to the vacating tenants as they were pushing us to sort it when these things don’t happen overnight.

Quickly got tenants in to the property and settled in to the apartment

Thanks to George Noel-Shore we've let our apartment twice quickly and at market rate. The listing process and viewings were very well organised. We also use Marsh & Parsons for management and have had prompt responses from Abdullah to our emails. The check-in with the tenants went smoothly and all the steps were carried out so they could settle in quickly. I believe the tenants have comfort knowing they can contact our property manager at any time should there be any issues and we will always work to resolve it as soon as possible.

Reporting them to the Ombudsman

My experience with this incompetent, shameless and unprofessional company has gone on for three years. A few examples:- They arranged for their contractor to carry out a window repair job (cost c. £10,000). The job was defective and carried out terribly (including installing some single glazing, which also happens to be illegal) and it has come to light two years later. When I complained, their excuse is that it's not their responsibility as it is a third party contractor and that the contractor has also ceased trading, but that it's also been too long. 2 years for windows costing £10k is NOT too long.It is also a lie that the contractors have gone out of business - I have checked Companies' House and they have simply opened a new company and dissolved the old one.- Marsh & Parsons' relationship with third party contractors, for whom they bare no responsibility is unprofessional. I was accidentally copied into emails between them, where the tone is overly friendly and the emails are full of kisses and smiley emojis. This is being reported to the Ombudsman and you can probably infer what that means about the overall nature of the relationship between Marsh & Parsons and their third party contractors.- They cannot be trusted with any quotes they obtain for works needed. For example, I was quoted £216 to tighten a loose doorhandle. Let this be your guide as to how overinflated the prices are for larger works.- Based on the fact I have had five property managers in three years (they all left the company), and each one weaker and less competent than the previous, make your own minds up as to what kind of place it is to work.- If you are in the unfortunate position where Marsh & Parsons are your property managers, I advise you not to accept any advice from them regarding repair works. There is no evidence that half of the work I had done was legally required, or even to make the tenants' lives easier. - Mid-term reports sent to me had text that was copied and pasted describing a different property. This became clear when I read references to rooms/features that do not exist in my property. When challenged, Marsh & Parsons said it was just an honest mistake. I paid a lot of money to have a property report done but hey, so what if they couldn't be bothered to complete it properly.- Did I mention that they charge 16% + VAT? I am completely at a loss as to what they in fact do for that money, other than making landlords' and tenants' lives a misery.There are many more issues with Marsh & Parsons, which I do not have time nor space to outline. The rest will be resolved through the legal route and the third party contractors are being reported to Trading Standards.
