GoogleJohn O’Reilly from Chancellors, Hampstead worked with us as we relocated our family from NY to London. It was a difficult move in the middle of a pandemic and we completed the entire process remotely via zoom. John was patient, professional and super helpful in guiding us. He was my eyes and ears and I relied solely on his feedback and opinion as we searched for our new family home. We found a wonderful property with John’s guidance and expertise. Post move, John has been great at touching base and making sure we’re settled - even saving us with lock outs and keys! GoogleMy girlfriend and I recently decided to relocate from South London to Hampstead as we loved the area. We had a huge issue trying to get to viewings after work with other estate agents as no one wanted to show us around past 6pm. It was becoming a rather long and frustrating experience trying to relocate. Eventually we found a property we liked that was managed by Chancellors. I called up and explained to Tyrone that it would take a while for us to travel to Hampstead so evening viewings were preferred, it wasn't an issue at all for him which we were delighted with. Tyrone allowed us to view one particular property we liked in the evening a few times which really helped us make our decision. During viewings, he didn't out any pressure on us and always answered any queries we had very quickly. He really went the extra mile and we're happy to say that because of his commitment we got the property we wanted. We've now settled into our new home and couldn't be happier. Also, on a side note, We recently purchased a small 2 bed property up in Oxfordshire that we intend on letting out after it's renovated. Our fantastic experience with Tyrone has assured us that we want to use the nearest Chancellors to find suitable tenants. Google5 Stars for Chancellors and particularly for Tom Watkins. Tom helped to rent my flat out 11 years ago and when I needed an estate agent to help again, he was first to mind. He's super responsive, thorough, reliable, and both times managed to find great quality tenants. Thanks Tom!

I could not recommend a letting agency any less. It is not clear to me that anyone at Chancellors understands the seriousness of being responsible for people's housing and how stressful the letting process can be. They simply do not care at all about tenants and will treat you quite hostilely.

We were renting a property from chancellors that we then purchased. Over a month post purchase they still haven’t paid us back our deposit - they don’t answer us when we chase and still can’t give us a timeline even though the payment was agreed over a month ago.

This review is directed towards the property management arm of Chancellors. As tenants, we have had horrendous experiences for the past five years with having any maintenance issues addressed. It takes, on average, two emails and a phone call before they even respond to a request regarding a maintenance issue, and the issues themselves (basic ones - such as an oven not working, overhead lights completely burned out (not just the bulbs), a broken step on a staircase that represents a safety issue) can take weeks, if not months, to resolve - again, with us chasing all the time.
