DOROTHY! DOROTHY! DOROTHY! An angel! I did not find my place yet, but since I contacted So Resi, and Dorothy is following me step by step in my extremely complicated situation, I started to see a light in the end of the tunnel! Took a long time to get through to the team but once I did it was well worth the wait. Roy was really helpful and listened patiently to all my queries regarding the process of repaying the Equity Loan. He gave some really good advice and sent through all guidance and forms necessary during the conversation. After the call I felt that I knew exactly what to do and all concerns had been addressed.

I was given factually incorrect information by multiple members of staff which ended up costing me financially as well as giving me unnecessary stress in an already stressful process.1. I was told by my first and second resales consultants that I required an in-date RICS valuation at the point an offer was made to my buyer. I spent money on a new valuation to be informed by the valuer that in fact the valuation needed to be valid and in-date at the point of completion and therefore the said valuation was unnecessary at that point.2. I was told by a resales progression team member, following a gas and electric inspection organised by my buyer that I was legally obliged to remedy the advisory issues they had discovered and that I needed a gas and electric safety certificate in order to sell the property. At a later date the same member of staff gave me a call to say they had "done some digging" and that I did not have to get the work done (a fact I already knew to be true after doing my own research on the matter). Clearly this caused me great stress as the cost of remedying all of these of advisory issues would have stretched into the thousands.3. I was told I would need to pay for a further RICS valuation at the point of completion as mine had expired as they only last 3 months. I duly obliged only to find out that So Resi had magically managed to extend my previous valuation. I was unable to get a refund and when I asked the valuation company if So Resi had the legal authority to extend RICS valuations they told me they "cant answer that". I contacted So Resi to understand how they had the authority to extend RICS valuations passed their expiry date but I am yet to hear a response.In addition, I lost out on buyers at the start of the process who had been unable to contact So Resi following viewings and had such concerns about their compentance that they no longer wished to proceed.The only reason I didn't give 1 star was that generally staff were polite and friendly on the phone, but need some more training as its unacceptable to give out information to customers that is factually incorrect and results in them having to spend money unnecessarily. If I had money to throw away clearly I wouldn't be using shared ownership.

Not very good. As apart of the shared ownership we are allowed to buy 1% at a time which the price set year on year. When we attempted to purchase, there was lots of errors on the side of SoResi. This included having the wrong price for a different year, missing documents, blaming this on that previous members of staff had left and just generally lots of confusion over the phone. I have to admit i did lose my patience over the phone as I was dealing with incompetent service. Once every was finally set in stone then the purchase was straight forward. Clearly staff need better training to help them with their job.

Everyone we dealt with did exactly what they said they would do with a smile. More importantly they went the extra mile to help my daughter achieve her ambition to get on the house purchase ladder. As a first time buyer, the sale process could have been a very daunting & stressful experience, however Jade has provided a very comprehensive service on behalf of SoResi. Polite, informative & patient with all questions I had. The bar on my future relationship with RoResi has been set very high!Edit: Unfortunatley I spoke too soon. For over 2 months I have been chasing responses & countless emails gone unanswered; I've now passed through 4 case handlers. The service to begin with was fantastic but severely dropped off once the sale moved to Sold STC. Very frustrating experience so far

Even though there was many set backs due to builders/drains/roofs etc Heidi especially made us feel at ease and was always there when we had a question! Which was not an easy task with all the plots on site and issues. Can’t thank Heidi enough for pushing for us with our lender etc went above and beyond! Thanks again!

Hideous communication. I’m selling a property with SO Resi and I’m constantly out of the loop with what’s happening regarding applications for my flat. When I try to ring my consultant, all I get is a voicemail and emails go unanswered for days. I’m trying to facilitate a quick move due to personal circumstances and so far, SO Resi have been extremely unhelpful in aiding this. I’ve had 2 applications so far and once the applications were received, nothing. Shambles

Initial process took a longer than I expected and could have been handled better by original resales consultants but luckily once Klaudia Miara took over the sale it proceeded swiftly and smoothly. Klaudia was extremely pleasant, professional and prompt, and absolutely instrumental in getting the sale completed. Picking up the keys today and am very happy with the service Klaudia provided!
