Beware when you have to use SOResi…

The sale process was painful ,expensive and took far too long From start to finish SOResi were pretty much hopeless If I could award no stars I would On my initial contact with SO they told me the property was not on their register Only by continually chasing with MPH did this change When my solicitor contacted them they said they hadn’t authorised the sale despite written evidence they had The legal documentation took around 6 months to complete and only by continuous chasing did we get SO/MPH to provide what was needed This led to substantial increased cost

Myself and my wife are trying to buy…

Myself and my wife are trying to buy our 1st home, we do not have a deposit with the current climate and bills out of control. Lets face it, who does have 15k-20k lying round. Then they said we need to earn less than 80k, penalised for earning more ? Yet still can not afford 100% of a house. We have never missed a rent payment in 5 years, we can afford a £1600 per month rented home but So Resi must feel that we can not afford £1400 mortgage and rent combined ? And said no to us. On top of that they do not support the Armed Forces Covenant, I served 12 years for my country and they wont even make an effort to try to help. How can people get on the property ladder if people like these make it impossible especially veterans who serve there country. I find this quite disgusting. Shame on So Resi...

Karen is the one who assisted us from beginning to end, along with the Soresi team. She very easy to approach, and very accommodating. You can tell she's very experienced in her field as she gives sound advises and information which relates to our situation. Definitely someone you could trust. As for the Soresi team, they were amazing. From beginning to end, query to completion, their service is top notch. They update timely and provide support at each step of the way. Everyone is understanding to our circumstance and patient with us. I can't recommend them enough.

A really positive experience driven by Klaudia

A really positive experience driven by Klaudia. Klaudia pushed the solicitors on both sides (which as we all know is always needed!) and kept us up to date with all we needed to know. She explained what to expect from the process early on and continued to communicate and update us through the process efficiently. We expected selling a shared ownership property to be much more challenging than it turned out to be and the process from starting to show and marketing our property (with Hana in the marketing team) through to the actual resale with Klaudia was so smooth and clear. I feel like there has been so much positive improvement across the board from when we purchased 5 years ago. Thank you!

I would highly recommend So Resi for a shared ownership property

Karen went out of way to come to the property today just for me so I could see my flat as I was not available on Friday. She was very accommodating with the time and date so I could undertake measurements to decide what to bring with me when I complete. She also followed up with main office by phone to see how near I was to exchanging so I could makes decision on whether to hand in my notice with my landlord or not. She also answered my questions about who my energy and water provider would be. She was happy to help me with any questions I had. I was very satisfied with her assistance and friendly manner.

Pa Manneh excellent

Pa Manneh has been looking after my Resales transaction for the past few months. The knowledge of shared ownership and ability to be able to fix numerous issues even when the solicitors showed incompetency was second to none. His dedication, approach and customer service were second to none. This was further evident when he went on annual leave and our case did not move at all. Dorothy Adjobia has been superb

Dorothy Adjobia’s positive feedback is so richly deserved for her patience and persistence. I have been chasing a refund from So Resi since June which I just received this month in August. After sending a number of emails I spoke to the wonderful Dorothy on the phone who very kindly said that she was going to follow it up for me. Dorothy said that if I do not hear back by certain dates then I should contact her directly which I did need to do on 3 or 4 occasions.Dorothy was been extremely helpful, proactive and friendly to me on the phone and has contacted the relevant people directly to try and help me. Dorothy went above and beyond.

I would have to say my experience has been a rollercoaster ride which has been a jolly ride. Now sitting in my new home all thanks the the so Resi team especially Heidi, who has been absolutely amazing throughout this process.Once the process gets moving and you are appointed someone from the progression team this is were you are in safe arms ( specially if you have Heidi as an agent ) I have to big her up and thank her for getting us into our beautiful home.Keep up the good work!!!

MTVH Equity loan redemption

Once our application reached our case worker Maeve things went smoothly . Maeve at MTVH was very supportive and helped us through out our equity loan redemption process . Maeve was always ready to answer our queries and responded very fast . Maeve made the entire process less stressful and quicker . Maeve even went above and beyond so that the process was completed on a specific date we requested . Thank you for all your hard work and support. Few suggestions to MTVH equity loan team would be 1) It is not easy to get through to equity loan team initially for advice, this should be improved . 2 ) Please pass on the application swiftly to case worker rather than sitting on it , could avoid a lot of stress and wasted time / emails 3) Revenue team , you respond very slowly and have to email many times . Incredibly personable on the phone, responsive and attentive to our needs he did his utmost to help and advise us when we needed. Poor communication, lack of explanation, staff members disappearing

Overall, SO Resi made the selling of my shared ownership property even more stressful than it needed to be. At the start of the process (12 months ago!) nobody seemed to know what they were doing - could my house go on the open market straight away? Could it not? It didn’t fill me with confidence. In the end, the photos that SO Resi arranged to be taken of my property were fantastic and I had lots of viewings. But the process of trying to get hold of SO Resi when a viewing was booked in and I wasn’t available to show the interested buyer around was a nightmare. I can only imagine how difficult it was for potential buyers to contact them too and ask any questions. I spent a whole week calling SO Resi last July telling them I was on holiday so noone could show the potential buyers around, but I had no response. It was really stressful. After one sale fell through, I was able to sell my property via an estate agent on the open market. The information I received from SO Resi about the process of selling on the open market was minimal - they never explained anything to me how much they would still need to be involved. This lack of communication resulted in 3 months of wasted time where the housing association/SO Resi were not involved in the sale. When we realised this, it took me over 2 weeks of calling and emailing various people every single day to finally get through to anyone at all. Many times during the process, staff members who had once been dealing with my case suddenly disappeared and you’re left with noone to speak to. Eventually, 3 or 4 months after my buyers offer, Ellisa was assigned to my account. This made a huge difference and in fairness to Ellisa, her communication was a lot better than I had experienced before. Whilst the sale then took another 4 months to go through, it was reassuring to know that Ellisa was helping with things and we communicated regularly over the last few months. She was always very well meaning. However, when your dedicated consultant isn’t around and you have an urgent enquiry, it is almost impossible to get hold of anyone. SO Resi almost never answer the main phone line or respond from the general mailbox. I found this to be very stressful at times throughout the past year and I believe it caused many unnecessary delays overall. I would like to thank Ellisa for all her help. But I would like to advise SO Resi as a whole to improve the service they provide to their sellers. They make what is already a difficult process much harder. I’m glad I will hopefully not have to deal with them again for a property sale.

Amazing resale agent!

We had a bit of a rocky start selling with SoResi and then once it was sold we had 3 different resales agent but in the end I am so happy we did. Klaudia Miara had been absolutely amazing, I could not fault her if I tried. She responded to email’s promptly and if she was delayed it was just as she was gathering information. She saved me from tears so many times during this stressful process and all the delays from other parties involved! I’m so happy I got to work with her and I can’t thank Klaudia enough for all her help!

Lubna was unprofessional

Lubna was unprofessional, disrespectful and useless. Not responding to phonecalls and sending automated responses. Once managed to speak to Lubna, she put the phone down as she can't hear anything because of the builders drilling in her house. Dorothy and May were giving the wrong information about the property and buying process. Paul and Sarah (supervisors) were not available to talk and not interested to reply other than automated responses. No transparency in the allocation process, they do whatever they want. Before applying read shockingly bad 1 star reviews on Metropolitan Thames Housing as they manage properties.
