There is a general consensus that estate agents are pretty shady and more than likely unhelpful and for most of my experiences with estate agents, this is the case. However I seemly managed to get the one estate agent that completely defied my expectation. Philip Dickinson has been dealing with my incessant phone calls week in week out for the past 4-5 months as we progressed with quite a nerve wracking process. It did not matter how many times I rang, how many times I asked for a clarification of the same thing or updates about the overall process. He always answered my phone call in a cheery and friendly manner, or always returned my call promptly. I can easily say that Philip has been the best estate agent I’ve ever dealt with and I would be lovely if I could both sell and purchase my house through him again, even as unlikely as that would be. I can not recommend Hockeys and Philip enough to anyone who was a nervous buyer like myself as they just take care of you and always have your best interests at heart. It’s been a pleasure to deal with him and again, I couldn’t recommend Philip enough.

My wife and I recently bought our first home through Hockeys, and we were delighted with it from start to end. We found that Hockeys provided plenty of additional property information, such as a detailed floor plan and a video of the rooms, which helped us choose the right property to consider and visit. Moreover, they provide a members' area within their website where it's possible to keep track of the properties seen and the offers placed. Philip Dickinson followed our purchase: one of the most excellent, friendly, professional and approachable human beings we have ever met. Philip was exceptionally good at informing us of the purchase's progress and guiding us through the numerous steps. Not only he always answered our many questions, but he did so very professionally and always with a smile. He never failed to return our calls and was always ready to provide updates as needed. Philip was excellent when things were running smoothly but proved to be outstanding when some issues arose during the process. He went out of his way to find a solution and, needless to say, succeeded. Based on our experience, we highly recommend buying a property through Hockeys, especially when dealing with Philip.

Me and my partner recently bought our new house through Hockeys and they were fantastic from start to finish. Philip was the agent we dealt with mostly and all I can say is how much of a nice and friendly man he was, with a great attitude for getting things done. The entire team were nothing but professional, diligent and always available to help with any of our needs. We sold our house through another local estate agent and after dealing with Hockeys, we wished we had used them to sell our house. I chose Hockeys estate agent as I had previously used them 19 years ago to buy my home they have just currently sold. My house sold within the first week. Liam, Philip and Sean were always helpful, finding out what was happening when there were issues on our purchase. Hockeys did not give the hard sell as a lot of estate agents do. Our house purchase was managed by Ben Osborne. He has always been in very good communication with us from the time we get to know each other during the property search. Jonathan Threadgold is the best property viewer. We are not local, and he is so friendly and patient to us. Since I had to go for viewing with my uncle auntie, we met him few times. We have finally exchanged on our house sale and purchase today (phew!), and what a conveyancing journey it has been to say the least, with complications all along the way. But Hockeys, and in particular Philip D at the Cambridge branch, have been nothing less than outstanding all the way through; they have dedicated a huge amount of time and effort in making sure this move actually happened (a minor miracle in itself!), and nothing was too much for them. I used Hockeys recently to sell my house. Ellis, Ben and Harriet were helpful and very good at communicating and explaining the process throughout. The photos and video they took were very professional. They were also happy to escort all the viewings to allow me to keep working. Although I didn't require many viewings as my house sold very quickly as they were also able to find an interested buyer as it just went onto the market which was great.
