I worked at Hockeys for almost a year, putting in long hours six days a week, but unfortunately, my experience was not what I’d hoped for. From the beginning, I was paid less than minimum wage, which was tough but something I accepted because I wanted to do a good job. However, the long hours, low pay, and constant pressure started affecting my mental and physical health. It was a very difficult work environment with little to no support for employees. One thing I found especially frustrating was the way some customers and employees were treated differently. It often felt like certain clients were favored over others, and some decisions seemed to be made for reasons that weren’t entirely clear or fair. In my experience, transparency was sometimes lacking, which made it challenging for me as an employee and left me concerned about how customers might feel. After a year of this, I decided I couldn’t continue. I wouldn’t recommend Hockeys as a place to work, and I’d suggest that customers be mindful and pay attention to how things are managed. I hope the company will make positive changes for both employees and customers in the future.

I would thoroughly recommend Jeremy and his team. I have bought and sold many houses previously but have never had such, attentive, polite and efficient service. As my most recent sale was my late mothers home in Cambridge I was also shown empathy and understanding. when the conveyancing didn't go as smoothly as expected Hockeys were crucial in resolving any problems and also demonstrated a sense of humour, which definitely helped! Dealing with the sale of my late mother's house has been a long and stressful experience. Having been with another estate agent for a long time without success, or regular updates, we signed up with the Hockeys team. Their communication and their tireless effort put in, has lead to the sale. This was handled with efficiency and in a friendly, understanding and helpful manner throughout the process. They set an asking price but then when you take time off work to go and view the property (because you can't view outside those hours), they tell you that the sellers want 5-10% more. Then, they take the highest offer, disclose it to everyone, and trigger a week long best and final. I find this practice unfair and disrespectful for buyers who spend time and effort only to realise that really they can't afford it. I guess this is good for sellers and their fees though, which is all that matters nowadays

Thank goodness for Harriet! I had been recommended Harriet by a friend whose home went on the market at the same time as ours and I could clearly see how fabulous her home was represented by Hockeys. Our previous agents photographs had not captured the unique setting of our lovely home and Harriet recognised that instantly. Without question our sale got over the line because of Harriet and our buyers and their lovely family moved in last week in time to get a Christmas tree up and make sure Father Christmas knows where those special little girls live now! Harriet’s tenacity and drive to chase, update, follow up and advise was outstanding we felt fully confident that no stone was left unturned in where we were at with our sale and who had to do what to keep the momentum. Without question I would recommend Harriet, and have already, and know that when the time comes for us to move again she is top of my call list. Wow these guys are top class. Smashed the stereotype of estate agents. I've worked with quite a few, and these guys are next level. I had 3 local agencies come and visit, and I chose Hockeys because Philip was smart and genuine (which appealed more than the sales pitches of the others). It was the right decision, because Philip had a well-thought out selling strategy, which meant my selling price far exceeded expectations. And the process itself was smooth. I have requested review a property and received a confirmation email from them but at the same time received a cancel booking email. therefore i called them and asked what is the reason why you cancel my booking and she said your maximum afford price just 400,000 and someone has asked for 420000 for the property and therefore I cancel your booking. Absolutely superb! Highly recommended! So glad we went with Hockeys for our recent house sale. Ben Osborne and his Team made sure that our journey was professionally managed from start to finish. Hockeys have been exceptionally helpful every step of the way from the getting the house marketed perfectly, videos and photographs to an excellent standard. All viewings where professionally organised and keeping us updated every step of the way with prompt feedback and most importantly, chasing the other people in our chain and solicitors! Ben and his team handled our sale regularly checking in with everyone and keeping us and our buyers updated all the way through to completion, I don't know how we would have managed without his help it made the always stressful process of moving much less stressful.
