Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

Bristol / Bath / Chippenham I'm a tennant, I had a leak from a burst pipe between the floorboards, first I knew of it was water coming from the lightswitch. Reported it straight away on the 29th of September, didnt have anyone come out until the 8th of October by then the damage is substantial and the electrics were tripping.

Allen & Harris, Frome, BA11 1ARI tried to contact them to view a cottage, left a message but no response. Later, spoke to 2 people (one the manager) who both promised to call back with an appointment and didn't. In desperation, I traced the owner and wrote to him. Possibly as a result I was called 3 days later and offered an appointment 2 weeks after my initial approach.Subsequently made an offer of full price but 24 hours later got a call to say that off-road parking, which was included in their sales details, would be £5000 extra. "Oh, you should have been told that."I shall never deal with this firm again, either to buy or sell - their 63% one star rating says it all.

We have sold our house with Allen and Harris Talbot Green Branch and also bought our new house with them. They have been very helpful and friendly throughout the process and have helped us overcome a few hiccups along the way. We mostly worked with Tom who had been fantastic and has always made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Leanne has also been great and both have made us feel at ease with what can be a very stressful time. We cannot fault them and we have been really happy with all of their help :)

GoogleCant thank Hanna (Calne branch) enough! The evaluation that was given by Hanna was far above that of 3 other agencies, the way Hannah conducted herself and firmly believed in her valuation left me in no doubt to market my property based on the value she had given. I sold for the asking price which was in excess of 50k more than I would of got had I gone with the valuations of the other vendors. I cant thank Hanna enough. I have to also note while on that the rest of the team have been fantastic too, Esther, Sam & Isobel. thank you all! If one property was not suitable they'd recommend something else to ensure our needs were met. Good communication throughout the process and always available if you needed to contact them, especially liked that we had the same person dealing with our move from the start to the end, made it so much easier! GoogleI want to thank Sam and her sales team at the Calne branch, in particular Hanna Oberemok. She has honestly been amazing from the day she came to our property to give us our valuation. We had a few agents come out the same day to value our property, and Hanna was so professional, enthusiastic, friendly, and was so confident that she could sell our house for us that we couldn't say no to choosing to go with her and Allen & Harris. As soon as we instructed A&H, the team clearly started to make calls to applicants and described out property and started to book viewings. Hanna conducted the viewings on the first day, and called us straight away to give feedback and then to arrange a second viewing, which led to offers and then selling the house. Not only did Hanna do a great job with winning us over as vendors for Allen & Harris, she kept to her word that she would be able to sell the house quickly, and even found and sold us a house within a few days of selling ours! So if anyone is looking for an agent to help sell their home, I would recommend Sam, Hanna and the team at A&H in Calne. Very professional, always do what they said they would do, and just a really nice bunch! I would definitely use Allen & Harris again for buying and selling! We were buying as first time buyers, we had no idea what we were meant to be doing and when. Our sale wasn't the easiest due to many complications from the developers, but Carly and the team really went above and beyond for us. I was able to call nearly every other day and they'd all be cheerful, tell me I am not a fool for constantly chasing, and just being absolutely lovely. I highly recommend Allen and Harris! Their customer service is on another level and they would bend over backwards if that would help the process move smoother.

Avoid this company at all costs. I used the PPAISLEY branch, I was misquoted on the fee cost and over quoted on the value of my property. So, it cost me MORE to sell and my property was worth LESS than they said. After taking time off work to allow Allen & Harris' photographer in my property I ended up asking them to use my own photographs. I was told I would be contacted once a week with an update, but this rarely happened. Prior to my flat selling I hadn't heard anything for over 3 weeks. I has to ask them to check viewers were actually viewing a property that fitted they're search criteria. A constant reason a buyer wasn't interested was that it was in the wrong area. Goodness sake! Google maps!! Check with the buyer where they DO want to stay!! That was beyond strange, why view somewhere that is not in your search area? I honestly doubted half my viewers even existed. Weekly calls from the office from Leanne soon stopped, these calls were embarrassing as Gary who sold me on using Allen & Harris had assured me that my property was in high demand. This was obviously not the case OR this company were not doing their job. I eventually had to chase up this company to make sure they were doing all they could to sell my property. I think they were more relieved my property sold than I was, I got ONE phone call to say an offer was being initiated and that was the last I heard from them. Everything then came thro my solicitor. They did practically NOTHING to earn their over-rated fee. Avoid this company at all costs. I have only awarded 1 star as there is no option to give ZERO.

Where do I begin!! Chippenham branch provide very professional courteous team. Special thanks to Esther and San who dealt with me. They were amazing, always at the end of a phone and willing to make things as easy as possible going above and beyond. Only regret is that I didn’t sell my property with them, can’t even begin to explain the difference I experience from selling my house with other Calne estate agents, this won’t be happening again! Will never use anyone other than Allen and Harris and Sam’s team in future.....

From the initial meeting to the conclusion the Ayr office were fantastic Caitlin, Ben and Allan were calming and reassuring at all stages. I am the anxious type so their management and constant updates were very welcome. I wish I had gone with their lawyers too in retrospect. I would not hesitate to deal with them again!!

This was the first time that I have sold a property. Michelle Hallas of Allan and Harris Chippenham was extremely helpful, and went out of her way to call by in person to help me with the various forms. Without her advice and knowledge I would have been lost. She is a very knowledgeable agent. In fact she was the oil that kept the wheels turning. I was so pleased to have her as my agent and would do so again. I recommend highly recommend Michelle.

Would give zero if I could. We had lots of issues with the house and the estate agents just ghosted us. To this day, they still owe me money for the keys because they couldn't even manage to get keys cut right (never heard of checking?). I keep asking when it will be returned and Lewis just says "I will get back to you". Special shoutout to Lewis for being particularly useless on this matter and for maintenance issues overall. They left us with broken furniture for a whole year- they kept saying they would send someone to fix it but never did. The house had an awful mould problem- they sent someone over to give quotes to install extractor fan in bathroom but nothing came of that. They tried to milk money out of the deposit but we argued so they backed out (their claims had no merit). Would not recommend. They don't check that houses are suitable to live in, and they don't respond or care if there's an issue with the house. Not responsible, practical, or reliable.

The same thing happened to me with Allen and Harris. I arranged to see a house in Stoke Gifford with Alex. He cancelled this appointment after I had set off to see the house ( a 160 mile return journey) saying it was under offer so they cancelled the viewing. They seemed more interested in selling financial products than houses. There is something underhand in this and they are not acting in the interests of buyers or sellers. I will try never to patronise them again.

I have been waiting a month for a call back with more information. I found a couple times over the month and got told that I would be called back. I phoned today and the lady was rude and abrupt, saying they already phoned - which they did not. This whole experience has made us never want to use them.

Just to be clear - this is a review from someone who is not a customer of Allen & Harris at Didcot, but someone who has been put in an awkward position by a landlord who is extremely keen to get the property rented again and arrange viewings as soon as possible. Neither her or Allen and Harris have had any consideration for us as tenants still paying the rent.
