Up there with one of the worst experiences I've had with an estate agency. Wouldn't respond in a timely fashion, initially refused to pass our offer onto the vendor. Lied about our offer on a house still being considered to then check Rightmove and find that a sale had been agreed with another buyer. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone especially if you have to deal with Lizzy

This is the second time we’ve been involved with Mark Ewin, the first for the purchase of a property and the second for a sale. They are without doubt the most fair, knowledgeable and contactable agent that I’ve ever been involved with. If you want somebody who understands the property market, particularly if you’re selling something a bit different then I highly recommend them. They put the mainstream, hight street agents to shame.

I have given Ashton Stripp 5 stars and they deserve every one of them. Paul and Bella have been professional and responsive throughout the sale of my mothers house. When I first asked Paul to value the house I was very clear with him that my previous experience of buying and selling houses left me disappointed, distrusting and bewildered in the integrity of estate agents. He asked for an opportunity to prove me wrong and he and Bella absolutely proved me wrong in my assumptions. They have both kept me fully informed of progress, given honest advise when I needed it and have not left me questioning their integrity once throughout the process. Their manner and responsiveness has been top notch and would recommend them without question.

This house sale was our fourth and Paul is the best estate agent we’ve ever used. His communication was on point and kept us updated throughout the process, even when there wasn’t much to update on, which we found reassuring. Paul’s efficient communication definitely helped the process and kept the solicitors on track. From the moment I first spoke to Chloe on the phone I really hoped this would be the estate agents to find us our home.. her professionalism and positive energy made the conversation so natural and left me feeling excited to work with this agency. At our viewings Ollie made it so easy and answered all our questions fully with such honestly which left us feeling very confident with them as a company. We then dealt with Paul who again continued the brilliant service and helped us get the place we wanted. I moved into a rented property 2 years ago. The agent who helped me view the property is sadly no longer with mackays but she is now my neighbour, she was amazing. I didn’t think anyone would come close.. We’ve had a few ups and downs but they have generally been brilliant. Rachel is now my main contact and she is very professional, extremely polite and has helped me with a few difficulties we couldn’t have dealt with ourselves. She’s been amazing! I purchased my flat through Mackay in 2018 and had a fantastic experience, so when I came to lease it earlier this year it was a no-brainer to go back to them. We have been using Mackay to manage our rental property since we purchased it through their office three years ago and have been very happy with the service provided. The fee we pay is fantastic value for the peace of mind provided by having such a professional team look after our property and tenants. Knowing that the ever-changing rules and regulations are being addressed is very reassuring to me. Rent is usually paid to our bank account promptly and any issues with the property have been dealt with in a timely manner. Earlier this year our tenants gave notice, we wanted to use this as an opportunity to carry out some maintenance and update the property. The team at Mackay were so helpful giving advice on what would benefit the property most. They were able to recommend a tradesman and liaised with him to get the work completed whilst finding us new tenants. The property was only vacant for about three weeks as our lovely new tenants moved in as soon as the work was completed. I would be happy to recommend Mackay to other landlords.
