Paul recently handled the sale of my house I benefited greatly from his marketing advice and knowledge of local conditions. He is honest and conscientious and kept in very regular touch. The photo presentation was particularly good. Whilst the sale was relatively straightforward, my subsequent purchase was anything but. Paul was not my vendor’s agent but did not hesitate to liaise with the solicitors, managing agents etc to try to break the deadlock. His advice and support were invaluable during a very stressful period. I found Paul to be calm, insightful and resolute. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashton Stripp as a principled company with a refreshing approach to estate agency.

With minimal guidance from ourselves they were able to translate our instructions into the required actions; starting with the excellent marketing photographs and video that showcased our old home to perfection, through to the eventual sale and completion. I had a viewing with Mark Ewin over the weekend and I must say it’s been one of the best interactions I’ve had with an estate agent over the last few years. I sent an enquiry over rightmove and had a follow up call fairly quick, the person on the phone was knowledgeable about the property and anything she wasn’t sure of, she didn’t say, I’ll phone you back or we’ll get back to you, she found out instantly, which may seem very small, but I appreciated it. I had a reminder message about my viewing & emails were responded to very quickly prior to the viewing. The woman who met us at the property was very kind and friendly, and was welcoming to me and my children, she again was knowledgeable, had lots of information with her and let us roam around the property, which was much more of a relaxed viewing and gave us an opportunity as a family to discuss the property freely. The viewing was on a Saturday and by Monday morning I had a follow up call for feedback, which again I found very thorough. I’ve had a lot of dealings with agents over the last few years looking for the right property and selling properties and I was very impressed with their service! People can be quick to leave bad reviews but a good experience is worth sharing! Thank you!

From the initial phone call to the appraisal and throughout the process it was clear everyone at Mark Ewin knew what they were doing and dealt politely and professionally. From a recommendation, the effort put in at the appraisal was far greater than other agents and Kym really knew what she was talking about and had done her research. The online portal to see viewing and feedback was really great, along with the direct feedback received from all the team. Then the updates received throughout the sale from Sharon were excellent. All staff members were friendly and professional, and made us feel valued as a customer.

I can highly recommend Mark Ewin if you are considering a move. From our initial consultation, to marketing and advertising to the sound and expert advice they gave us on pricing, which, although contrary to our own judgement, resulted in a quick sale considerably over the asking price and our own expectations, Mark Ewin exceeded all expectations. Where Mark Ewin truly excels, like any good company, is in its staff. Sharon and particularly Alison, who were responsible for managing our sale were attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Our sale was not short of complications and unexpected delays, all of which were outside the control of Mark Ewin, but Alison guided us through the pitfalls, gave sound advice, liaised with Solicitors, buyers and was always on hand to take a call, even if it was sometimes to just vent our frustrations. The team at Mark Ewin are genuine and honest, and really put us at ease from the start. Selling a house is a big deal and we really appreciated their patience and willingness to talk things through if we had any worries or concerns. Kym was particularly helpful when we were preparing for photos and viewing. She was just really reassuring, but blunt when needed! Selling a house is stressful but we felt we were in safe hands with Mark Ewin. It felt like they just wanted to support us, rather than rush us in to anything we weren't happy with. Highly recommend them if you want to sell your house with people you can trust.

Paul has been brilliant to work with and we 100% recommend him. We got over three valuations and were toying with using a few estate agents from Battle but after meeting with Paul we were at ease. His friendly approachable no pressure manner made us feel comfortable straight away. He already had contacts interested in our house and as soon as we agreed to work together he created a WhatsApp group so we could communicate regularly. He was contactable outside of normal estate agent working hours which was unique and a brilliant touch. We kept in constant communication throughout and our house was sold on the first viewing! From the moment we asked Paul to visit our property, he immediately got us onside. He put us at ease, was complimentary about the property and explained clearly what he was going to do. We immediately were comfortable with him and Bella when they were showing the prospective buyers our home and before he left on his first visit had already advised us of a prospective buyer. They were both permanently in touch on a group WhatsApp group with us advising of what was happening and of any news. After we had accepted an offer he was constantly helping us move things along as he could. He would ring solicitors and try to shift them along and glean useful information out of them to our benefit. Although we never intend to move again, if I was to, Ashton Stripp would be the first Estate Agent I would call and to any prospective sellers out there in the Battle area I would suggest you do the same!
