Had a lovely experience with the Lettings team, Alex Read listened to what we wanted and suggested a house we'd previously discounted due to the fact that it looked too small. We went to go see it with her and fell in love with it, pictures can be deceiving! The whole process was smooth and Alex was always willing to answer questions and help us every step of the way. Would highly recommend!

First time dealing with Merry & Brown, no response received

I sent Brown & Merry at 65 High Street, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK11 1AY an email to request a viewing at 21 Clay Hill, Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes, MK8 8AX early afternoon on Friday 5th July 2024 which was first listed for advertising on Thursday 4th July 2024 and guess what? They were that ignorant to provide no response. Come Monday 8th July 2024, late afternoon, the online advert had been updated to "let agreed". Brown & Merry had at least 2 hours until closing on Friday and 09:00 - 16:00 on Saturday 6th July 2024 to contact me and provide me a viewing time the next working day. Now, considering this had been the first time ever dealing with them, not a good start is it now, Brown & Merry? I suspect Brown & Merry never responded because they went against my disability needs and their preference was to have somebody within employment in one of their managed houses.

Excellent dealings so far with B&M BERKHAMSTED. Our house went on the market 4 weeks before CoVid 19 lockdown, Amir and his team have kept me updated throughout the last few weeks and have delivered high quality viewings. We have already accepted an offer only one week after viewing restrictions were lifted. Harry and Bobi also deserve a mention super professional and a joy to work with.

Unethical / possibly illegal practice

Awful from start to finish. I was interested in a property they had listed. They were not actually selling it, it was being sold by an auction house instead. I decided to go with Brown & Merry after being told that that the seller would consider taking it off the market before the sale. The auction house later told me that they would not do this.

Amazing!! The girls down in the Stony Stratford office are incredible. I was desperate to let my property however other local agents struggled to even get a few viewings. After speaking with Alex and Beth I put it straight on the market with them and my property got let on one of the first viewings. I was so shocked to hear the property was let so quickly and not to mention to for a higher rent then I advertised for! Cannot say enough how much professional and prompt they were.

2nd time with dealing with the Newport…

2nd time with dealing with the Newport Pagnell branch and i can honestly say the service has been excellent.Initially dealing with Matt the manager and then Lydia, i found her really pro active and great to deal with and that's coming from a self confessed control freak, so i have a tendency to micro manage the process but wasn't necessary. The sale hasn't exchanged or completed so this isn't an after glow relief review but if it fails it certainly won't be the fault of the agents.

Beware and Brown and Merry tenants before you let it but. I am unfortunate enough to have Brown…

I am unfortunate enough to have Brown and Merrys letting tenants as my neighbours. For over a year they have been making my life a misery with noise , aggression , anti social behaviour, shouting , down slamming and arguments on a daily basis. I have no peace and no quiet and absolutely no support from the lettings agents. They do nothing and they appear to value the measly 10-11% of a 2 bed rent in tring (£100 tops ) above any owner. Perhaps they are as intimidated by the tenant as others in my road are but it is their job to deal with nuisance noise and breaches of tenancy. They do nothing and rarely acknowledge my emails. I’m a pretty easy going human but this is so irresponsible to others that Brown and Merry get 1 star ONLY because I have to give it to them. Beware moving into any property , as owner or tenant , that has any Brown and Merry tenants nearby that could impact your life. Exercise caution if they are involved as they truly care about no one but their commission. I’m disgusted.
