I just cannot find the words to properly express how good Astley & Co were in the sale of my house. Not only did they find me the perfect buyer, they also then made it possible them to buy mine by also selling theirs! I used to think Agents just posted the details online and waited for the commission to arrive. I was wrong. Astley & Co kept my chain together and worked with Conveyancing Solicitors and and the new Home builder that I was buying from, to make everything happen. They also returned every e-mail and call almost immediately. I cannot recommend them highly enough - oh and they're very competitive on commission rates too!

I can't praise both Yvonne and the exceptional service she provides highly enough, I was continually amazed with how much effort Yvonne put in from start to finish. I expected maybe once offers accepted the hard work was done, not with Yvonne I found she was totally committed to do all she could and nothing was too much trouble. I live and work abroad, and so I needed someone I could trust to handle everything for me - I'm glad I went with Yvonne. She was very personable and professional at the valuation, and promised to handle all viewings and the sale herself on my behalf. Being a local business, they have valuable local information & experience to help with the sale. The valuation was realistic and viewings were conducted at the viewer's request. I would advise anyone buying and selling a property to use a small independent agent rather than a large chain. Buying & selling a property can be one of the most stressful things we ever undertake so it's vitally important that the agent is a great communicator, a pleasure to work with and treating the client like a good friend. I have moved house many times and have never come across such a friendly helpful yet very professional estate agency. My primary contact was with Cherie after finding my property on the internet, although it was Yvonne who showed me around the house and was fantastic helping me visualise how my things would fit into the house I purchased. Cherie kept in regular contact and helped and guided me every step of the way. I cannot recommend this firm too highly for the professionalism, care and support on what is so often one of the biggest and most stressful things we undertake. Based upon the telephone call I overheard today between the so called “director Yvonne Astley” and my daughter I would avoid this company like the plague. Minus Zero stars is more appropriate. Her attitude from the off has been very judgmental/biased due to the age of my daughter and her partner. They have been blocked from viewings so had to approach the home owners directly. My daughter was verbally insulted, this women has a serious lack of customer service skills, she interrupts, raises her voice and will not listen. She believes she is above all others based upon her vile attitude. Anyone can become a. director of a company so id suggest she needs to reign it in somewhat if she values her business and any future prospective customers. If she was employed, as an HR Manager I can categorically state she would be dismissed for gross misconduct. Perhaps explains why there is an admin person, mortgage advisor and herself only employed there! Oh and not to mention a lack of properties to market in the first instance. All in all, a very unprofessional experience with insults thrown in for good measure.
