Do not use this company. Yvonne from Astley&Co is the rudest, most judgemental and unprofessional ‘director’ I have ever come across. Never would I have thought that an estate agent would try to block potential buyers from viewing a property. After contacting the homeowners directly (last resort as Yvonne wouldn’t respond to our call or confirm a viewing) we managed to view the property. Upon calling the agent to provide feedback of the viewing I was personally insulted by Yvonne on several occasions throughout the short phone call. Yvonne was wholly unprofessional, judgemental, rude and on too many occasions spoke over me. She continually lied to us from small details such as offering us one date to view the property then saying she offered three, to doubling the amount of viewings or over exaggerating the offers received to try and put us off. I am thankful that the house we viewed wasn’t for us and therefore we won’t be needing to deal with Yvonne and her attitude problems, but I just wish to warn others of the dreadful experience I have been faced with. I will be reporting her to the Property Ombudsman.

Ashley and Co. came highly recommended to me by some very good friends, who had recently sold their property through them. I am really grateful to them. They were so right. I had also heard from another good friend a rather sad, somewhat alarming, story about a large local agency. They had badly let down her son, a first-time buyer, by verbally accepting his offer on a property, only to then sell it to a buy-to-let purchaser. Yvonne was very professional at all times. It has taken me far too long to get round to writing this review, but I felt we needed to publicly thank Yvonne for helping our family move into what for us is our dream home. Yvonne has a real passion and vision for what she does, and believes there is a buyer for every home. When I saw a house she had for sale I just knew everything about it was perfect for our unusual extended family, but at this stage we hadn't even thought about putting our house on the market.
