Melissa was fabulous. There were some very slow inquiries sat with Oceans clients solicitor. Melissa continuously did everything in her power to chase up often calling as soon as she’d put the phone down to me and ringing me straight back with updates.There were a few hitches towards their end with agreeing completion date and indemnity policies etc but Melissa helped us through it all. Thank you for all your efforts and time - very much appreciated!

Jemima & James @ Ocean have been absolutely fantastic in the whole process of both offering and moving me into my new rental property. From the very beginning I met James who showed me around the property which I literally fell in love with immediately and expressed my interest in securing it. James was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the process and came back to me so quickly with the offer. I wanted to move in quickly and both James & Jemima did their best to meet my date requirements which was fantastic. They both went above and beyond with my additional requests. The process was pretty smooth considering I am new to the rental market. Upon handover I met Jemima for the first time. What a lovely young lady! She was so friendly, understanding and knowledgeable and explained everything on the move date. There were lots of follow up calls to check in on me and any issues have been picked up immediately for resolution. I cannot thank these guys enough for such a lovely experience. I love where I live and am really happy. I would love to deal with them again, if only everyone was this helpful. Thanks guys you are both amazing!

Ocean have earned their money from us - we have been selling my Mum's house for over a year and it completed last Friday on the 3rd sale. A bumpy ride at times, but house selling is a stressful process. Some personalities at Ocean easier to deal with than others, but the contacts we eventually worked with were really friendly and helpful and gave the impression they genuinely cared. A special mention to Nicola the 'Move Manager'. I was sceptical to start with, but what an asset she was. She kept everything moving along with the sale, quickly chasing up any tardiness. It was encouraging to have someone to regularly check in with, especially when not much seemed to be happening. But we got their in the end - thank you.

Simon and the team were very friendly, and helped with all aspects of choosing a new mortgage for our house purchase (we were selling and buying). Simon also helped us through all the options of mortgage protection (life cover and income protection) - these were clearly explained, and it made the process of choosing the various covers much more straight forward. We would highly recommend, and will definitely use Simon for remortgaging etc in future!

After looking at several companies to help me with my mortgage, I settled on Ocean Estate Agents as they were recommended to me and I could not be happier with my experience. Luigi was my mortgage advisor and he did an amazing job! He was incredibly diligent throughout the whole process, always available to discuss any questions I had and made the entire process as seamless as possible. As a first-time buyer, this experience was quite daunting so I was very grateful to have one less thing to worry about and I really felt that Luigi made the entire process as easy and straightforward as possible, I could not recommend Ocean more!!

Ocean was the second estate agent I used and were very professional and upfront on charges. There were plenty of viewings which were all booked with plenty of notice. Had an offer within 6 weeks. Kept informed at all stages of the process.I also used Ocean Lawyers which made the process smoother. There was regular communication and any issues that arose were swiftly and promptly dealt with.I would definitely recommend Ocean and would use them again .

GoogleI've had such a lot of support from ocean over the past year. My first purchase fell through and it took me ages to find somewhere suitable to move to. Mel in particular has been amazing! Moving is incredibly stressful but whenever I have a question or query Mel comes up with the answer and she always gets back to me if I leave a message or email that same day. GoogleThe team at Ocean W-O-T have been extremely supportive and helpful selling my parents property. As a deceased estate they have been considerate and empathic in all their dealings with me. It’s been a journey together and they have gone out of their way to help me market the property successfully and implement strategies when things were slower to find a buyer. They have also given excellent advice in helping select the buyer, for many reasons, not a ‘quick sale’. I have valued the help of Steve and Mike and Emma holding many viewings and remaining enthusiastic about the property. Sale has been agreed and hopefully we’re on our way to completion. A great experience from start to finish. Communication from everyone at Ocean was professional, timely and informative. Curtis took us smoothly through the initial marketing process before passing over to Move Manager Lauren who kept us updated throughout the sale. Using Ocean’s in-house conveyancing team made things really easy as everything was under one roof, and again Lily and the team were a pleasure to deal with - nothing like the usual narrative around solicitors. Staff helped us to navigate a few challenges elsewhere in the chain as we got nearer to exchange and completion, again keeping us updated and offering reassurance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ocean Estate Agents and Ocean Property Lawyers, and in fact have already done so which has resulted in friends listing their properties with Ocean! Our vendors’ estate agent also commented on how good Ocean were to deal with.

Louise Studley is the answer to what makes our experience of Ocean Lettings excellent: diligent in the everyday nitty-gritty of household issues. So if there was an issue of something needing fixing, she is there immediately organising the fixing of it. Louise is also happy to negotiate new contracts, acting fairly but impartially between landlord and renter. We can't thank her and Ocean Lettings enough. Attempting to rent a property with my partner and the number of checks and forms we have to fill out just to rent a property is ridiculous.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate that the lettings process can feel detailed, however the stages you have outlined are all required to ensure that both applicants and landlords are properly protected, and that we meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Our initial application form is designed to gather the key information needed to present your offer to the landlord and agree terms in principle. The subsequent documentation and referencing process is then carried out in greater depth by an independent referencing provider, who is responsible for verifying identity, employment, income, credit history, previous tenancy conduct, and (where applicable) Right to Rent. While this can involve requesting similar information more than once, this is necessary as both parties have separate compliance requirements and cannot rely solely on each other’s data. In relation to employment and landlord checks, these are standard industry practices. Independent verification through direct contact helps ensure accuracy and protects all parties involved in the tenancy. Regarding the third-party services mentioned, we do not sell or “leak” applicant data. You may have been contacted in relation to our optional utility setup service (JMI), which is offered as a convenience to tenants. This service is entirely optional and applicants are clearly informed that they can opt out at any stage, including before any details are shared. We do take data protection extremely seriously and handle all personal information in accordance with GDPR requirements. We understand that the process can feel repetitive, but it is designed to be thorough, transparent, and fair to both tenants and landlords. Your feedback has been noted, particularly regarding the perceived duplication, and we will continue to review how we communicate each stage to make the process as clear as possible. Ocean Lettings.

My mortgage was arranged by Richard Jarrett at Ocean, who was recommended by Adam Byrom and I couldn’t be happier. Richard was brilliant at a time where mortgage rates were changing almost daily, he dealt with numerous phone calls/e-mails from me per week without complaint and kept me updated constantly with prices and the best mortgage provider. He was professional, knowledgeable and polite and was brilliant throughout, got us a great mortgage at a great rate, if it wasn’t for Richard my mortgage would be at least an extra £100 a month if not more. Thank you to Richard and to Adam!
