Jemima & James @ Ocean have been absolutely fantastic in the whole process of both offering and moving me into my new rental property. From the very beginning I met James who showed me around the property which I literally fell in love with immediately and expressed my interest in securing it. James was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the process and came back to me so quickly with the offer. I wanted to move in quickly and both James & Jemima did their best to meet my date requirements which was fantastic. They both went above and beyond with my additional requests. The process was pretty smooth considering I am new to the rental market. Upon handover I met Jemima for the first time. What a lovely young lady! She was so friendly, understanding and knowledgeable and explained everything on the move date. There were lots of follow up calls to check in on me and any issues have been picked up immediately for resolution. I cannot thank these guys enough for such a lovely experience. I love where I live and am really happy. I would love to deal with them again, if only everyone was this helpful. Thanks guys you are both amazing!

Ocean have earned their money from us - we have been selling my Mum's house for over a year and it completed last Friday on the 3rd sale. A bumpy ride at times, but house selling is a stressful process. Some personalities at Ocean easier to deal with than others, but the contacts we eventually worked with were really friendly and helpful and gave the impression they genuinely cared. A special mention to Nicola the 'Move Manager'. I was sceptical to start with, but what an asset she was. She kept everything moving along with the sale, quickly chasing up any tardiness. It was encouraging to have someone to regularly check in with, especially when not much seemed to be happening. But we got their in the end - thank you.

Simon and the team were very friendly, and helped with all aspects of choosing a new mortgage for our house purchase (we were selling and buying). Simon also helped us through all the options of mortgage protection (life cover and income protection) - these were clearly explained, and it made the process of choosing the various covers much more straight forward. We would highly recommend, and will definitely use Simon for remortgaging etc in future!

GoogleJason, Matt and the rest of the team have been great - always helpful, understanding and professional. They swiftly secured the photographer before he went on leave so we could get our photos done without delay. Jason made sure the whole team visited to learn the interesting features our house, so everyone could properly describe it to potential buyers. The back-to-back viewings were organised efficiently, giving people proper time to look around without feeling rushed, and I felt our home was in good hands during the viewings. I would definitely recommend Ocean Bishopston to anyone looking to sell their house in this area.

After looking at several companies to help me with my mortgage, I settled on Ocean Estate Agents as they were recommended to me and I could not be happier with my experience. Luigi was my mortgage advisor and he did an amazing job! He was incredibly diligent throughout the whole process, always available to discuss any questions I had and made the entire process as seamless as possible. As a first-time buyer, this experience was quite daunting so I was very grateful to have one less thing to worry about and I really felt that Luigi made the entire process as easy and straightforward as possible, I could not recommend Ocean more!!

GoogleI recently sold my family home using the services of Ocean Bishopston. The team there were fantastic right from the start, beginning with Jason and sales. Everyone was very efficient and communication was excellent. I’d particularly like to thank Matt and Nicola for being so amazingly supportive throughout the process. I felt Matt really understood what I was looking for in terms of a new house and was always kind and friendly. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, Nicola encouraged me and provided me with the support I needed. It really felt as if we were a team. They have the perfect mix of professionalism and warmth. All in all, I highly recommend Ocean Bishopston and their staff.

Ocean was the second estate agent I used and were very professional and upfront on charges. There were plenty of viewings which were all booked with plenty of notice. Had an offer within 6 weeks. Kept informed at all stages of the process.I also used Ocean Lawyers which made the process smoother. There was regular communication and any issues that arose were swiftly and promptly dealt with.I would definitely recommend Ocean and would use them again .

A great experience from start to finish. Communication from everyone at Ocean was professional, timely and informative. Curtis took us smoothly through the initial marketing process before passing over to Move Manager Lauren who kept us updated throughout the sale. Using Ocean’s in-house conveyancing team made things really easy as everything was under one roof, and again Lily and the team were a pleasure to deal with - nothing like the usual narrative around solicitors. Staff helped us to navigate a few challenges elsewhere in the chain as we got nearer to exchange and completion, again keeping us updated and offering reassurance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ocean Estate Agents and Ocean Property Lawyers, and in fact have already done so which has resulted in friends listing their properties with Ocean! Our vendors’ estate agent also commented on how good Ocean were to deal with.

Louise Studley is the answer to what makes our experience of Ocean Lettings excellent: diligent in the everyday nitty-gritty of household issues. So if there was an issue of something needing fixing, she is there immediately organising the fixing of it. Louise is also happy to negotiate new contracts, acting fairly but impartially between landlord and renter. We can't thank her and Ocean Lettings enough. We appreciate that the lettings process can feel detailed, however the stages you have outlined are all required to ensure that both applicants and landlords are properly protected, and that we meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Our initial application form is designed to gather the key information needed to present your offer to the landlord and agree terms in principle. The subsequent documentation and referencing process is then carried out in greater depth by an independent referencing provider, who is responsible for verifying identity, employment, income, credit history, previous tenancy conduct, and (where applicable) Right to Rent. While this can involve requesting similar information more than once, this is necessary as both parties have separate compliance requirements and cannot rely solely on each other’s data. In relation to employment and landlord checks, these are standard industry practices. Independent verification through direct contact helps ensure accuracy and protects all parties involved in the tenancy. Regarding the third-party services mentioned, we do not sell or “leak” applicant data. You may have been contacted in relation to our optional utility setup service (JMI), which is offered as a convenience to tenants. This service is entirely optional and applicants are clearly informed that they can opt out at any stage, including before any details are shared. We do take data protection extremely seriously and handle all personal information in accordance with GDPR requirements. We understand that the process can feel repetitive, but it is designed to be thorough, transparent, and fair to both tenants and landlords. My mortgage was arranged by Richard Jarrett at Ocean, who was recommended by Adam Byrom and I couldn’t be happier. Richard was brilliant at a time where mortgage rates were changing almost daily, he dealt with numerous phone calls/e-mails from me per week without complaint and kept me updated constantly with prices and the best mortgage provider. He was professional, knowledgeable and polite and was brilliant throughout, got us a great mortgage at a great rate, if it wasn’t for Richard my mortgage would be at least an extra £100 a month if not more. Thank you to Richard and to Adam!

Amelia West who was our guide was very kind, enthusiastic, and answered all of questions which made it really enjoyable and gave us a really good idea of what the property was like as well as the surrounding area. Although the branch was about to close, Amelia forwarded our interest straight away which ensured we received the application form that night and the whole process was complete within less than 24 hours. Amelia was prompt and approachable in all matters.
