Lextons are by far the best estate agent that i have dealt with. After making the big mistake of using an online based agent whose name i wont mention i was beginning to loose a bit of hope. I had it on for 4 months with this agent and then i decided to use Lextons and in just over a week i had agreed a sale.The staff were so lovely to deal with . It has been so stress free throughout.I can not praise Peter and the team enough. Thank you

After months of frustration trying to sell our property with another estate agent we received a brochure from Lextons and decided to give them a call. From that day everything changed and it was like a breath of fresh air talking to Peter, James, Georgia and Mia. Lextons have been very helpful keeping us up to date with viewings and feedback. If they said they were going to call us they did, taking time to explain things and checking that we were happy to proceed. The expertise of Peter and James was invaluable to us. I’m pleased to say after several viewings an offer of the full asking price was made on our property which we accepted. I would definitely recommend Lextons and wish you continued success in the future.

I have recently bought a property via Lextons and am happy to give an excellent review for this company. The team are friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, but without being pushy. In a very professional manner, they dealt with my queries, liaised between myself and the seller very promptly and right upto completion, I was kept fully briefed particularly when my legal advisors became rather counter productive! I felt well treated by the team, particularly James and Peter, whose assistance was invaluable. I genuinely felt that Lextons were working as much with me as with their client, the seller. In a city with so many estate agents, I felt in secure hands with Lextons and thoroughly recommend their services to future buyers and sellers alike. Thank you so much and best wishes for the future.

Recently bought a property in Hove via Lextons, our agent Claudia was really great, knowledgable about the local area, always happy to help and liaise with our sellers to ask questions and clarify things for us. Also put us in contact with a local solicitor and mortgage broker which really simplified the process. Would highly recommend Lextons if your looking for a friendly local agent in the Hove area. Tina, the branch manager, in the Kemptown branch of Lextons was absolutely fantastic at every stage of our purchase. She facilitated the negotiation stage being fair to both vendor and purchaser. She then lubricated the deal acting as go between. Whenever we felt our purchase was going nowhere, she would intervene and help things along. We always felt in the loop at every stage. Lisa, Amy and team were fantastic in assisting with our purchase. They were responsive and always available to clarify our concerns. They even did good to follow up with solicitors when necessary. Managed to get us the property pretty quick compared to the usual 6 months ordeal.

TrustpilotUnless Lextons is advertising your dream home pass them by
It is good to find an Estate Agent that likes to do things face to face and not use the phone. So much so that they refuse to answer the phone or return calls. This agent also leaves properties for sale on Rightmove even when they are under offer which makes it a waste of time looking at their adverts only to be told the property is under offer. This practice makes me ignore Lextons when I am looking to buy and if I ever made an offer on a property to know that they are still advertising it does not inspire me with commitment to the purchase. Unless Lextons is advertising your dream home pass them by as there are other more committed agents out there. And as a vendor why go to an agent that does not answer the phone to prospective buyers, a waste of time and money. Lextons need more professional staff and better customer service. BEING UNABLE TO LOCATE MY RECORDS IS YET ANOTHER ISSUE WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES AND ADDS TO MY REVIEW ABOVE. I WOULD SAY AVOID BUT THEY ALREADY DO THIS BY NOT PICKING UP THE PHONE

We recently sold our home through Lextons. From the initial consultation through to the completion of sale of our property, Lextons were highly professional in all aspects of the sales process. They were very communicative and kept us up to date with all the viewings and feedback. In particular, Peter was straight talking and easy to work with, unlike some other agents in Brighton and Hove. I would happily use them again.

Google"At Lextons we don’t do sales-speak, flamboyant promises or tricks of the trade. What we do, is give straight-talking advice," Unfortunately we couldn't have had a different experience. Sadly Nick Sefton at the Kemptown office brokered an awful set up between us and the owners of our property. Moving from abroad with young children is complicated and tough and Nick assured us we were in safe hands and that we didn't need to use a guarantor (to be allowed a 12 month contract) instead we should pay 6 months upfront and rely on his opinion that the landlord would be "extremely unlikely to raise rent at 6 months". Low and behold after signing the contracts and even before we had moved in, the landlord told us he intended to raise the rent by £400pm in 6 months. This we wouldn't be able to afford so before arriving we knew we would have to leave. Then on top of that it became clear that one of the owners of the property was in fact the director of Lextons, so how Nick had no idea of his intentions is lost on us. Would definitely not recommend anyone to use them or if you do be cautious about what they recommend.

GoogleSofia Camacho has provided me constantly with updates in regard to our new move in. It has only been a few weeks but she has been very pleasant to work with. She has quickly provided documents on request such as floor plan, inventory list, helped with bills and our Broadband situation. Only way to improve is if they used Whatsapp & had work mobiles for easier communication.

I would like to give it a Zero rating but it doesn't seem possible to do that and write a comment. My property never even went on the market and I was landed a £720 bill on the ill advise regarding my lease. I found the agent, Amy, to be arrogant and lacking knowledge and experience in her industry. In the 3 weeks that I was bound to them, I gained more stress than I do running my own business. These people push you to their recommended contacts - surveyors, solicitors, EPC agents etc - all commission based. Non have your best interest at heart. You can find cheaper and better yourself. Their business culture runs on giving clients recommendations and advice on fight-defend mode and creating hostility. I am so glad I was able to cut ties with them without having to fork out more money to them. As a business owner I am all about word of mouth and helping businesses to grow - with this one - I would recommend you trust your instincts and go elsewhere.
