Despite the frustrating process in finding a rental property due to the current very high demand it is obvious that agents are under as much pressure, if not more, as those like myself searching and desperately wanting to secure a property to make a home. After 6 weeks of continuous searching today I was informed that my application for a property that I have had my eye on for 4 weeks had been accepted by the property owner and I am delighted to say that I am now on track to secure this property. I am quite sure that this would not have been the case without the expert advice, support, brilliant communication, friendly and attentive attitude of Kamila Malina and I am very grateful for her time and assistance and I look forward to completing my application with Kamila and the Brand Vaughan team. Probably the worst rental agents in Brighton

I cannot even begin to describe all of the rental issues with this company; but here are a few:- left me without a working toilet for 2 weeks- left me without a working boiler for over 2 weeks- when I moved in there was a huge leak from the bathroom into the kitchen and NONE of the appliances worked. The front lawn was strewn with rubbish. Their response was that it was not urgent and that they don't check appliances when a new person moves in. Yet I got a 3 page letter when I moved in citing a long list of reasons why I could be fined £120 them. The letter also stated that when I move out the chimney needs to be swept and the garden left in good order, yet neither of these were done for me when I moved in.- Recently my heating didn't work so I reported it. This was listed as "not urgent and can take up to 28 days to send someone out".I have caught them out lying many times as they contradicted themselves about what the property owner was saying.When the time came to move out, I read up on my rights and I knew that after 5 years they could not charge me to paint the home (which wasn't done when I moved in), but they still tried. They also tried to charge me for 2 extra weeks as they thought that I would remember my moving date. I did, as it was Sept 11th, which was an apt date to move in to that awful place - so I did remember. Extremely dishonest and shady.

I first meet Brand Vaughan whilst waiting for another local agent at a property in Preston park. The chap introduced himself as he thought i was his viewer. We exchanged details as the property he was selling wasn't in my price range and he said he would call me, i thought nothing of it considering i was still waiting for my viewing to which the agent never showed. Later that afternoon my phone rang and it was Nick from Brand Vaughan with a list of properties for me to view. Long story short I viewed 3 flats with him the following day and that afternoon I had agreed a purchase. We recently completed on the flat and have now moved in. We have used the Preston park office to sell our house and I have been so impressed with the team there. Natasha, Jason and Nick have all been so easy to work with, They have all been honest and transparent and acted as real advocates for us. It's a very bumpy ride selling a house and Nick especially has really gone the extra mile and pushed things through as a real advocate for us. Having almost gone with an online estate agent simply to save money, I am so pleased we didn't, we would likely still be trying to sell our house if we had. Big thanks to Nick and his team, would recommend them wholeheartedly

We recently sold a brighton flat with BV and were impressed with the selling proposal put to us on valuation. The sale left us ultimately pleased with the price achieved though it is difficult to determine true market value in these volatile times. They are a fair and straightforward working company which overall left us pleased with the service so I would recommend them. Here and there answers to questions or requested information seemed to not make it back to the buyers, but this is a minor point and didn’t detract from an overall good selling process.

We recently bought a house through Brand Vaughan and they’ve asked us to review them. My honest opinion is that from the point of our offer being accepted they were extremely unhelpful, rude and at points aggressive towards us. For example we were regularly chased for exchange dates when legal work had not been completed, and simple requests such as marking the property as sold on Rightmove took weeks to action. At times I felt harassed and ultimately had to move to only communicating through email. If the property had not been as perfect for us as it is we would have pulled out. Update: since posting this review Brand Vaughan has made no attempt to contact me regarding the way we were dealt with during the buying process.
