Brand Vaughan has a 4/5 review - I should have dug deeper into 'tenants' reviews.If you do not, expect to be treated as a necessary inconvenience.If you are to use them, document/photograph and share everything little issue you can at the start of your tenancy. Why?They will try to fleece your deposit for overpriced repairs, cleaning, and other unnecessary charges.Also, they have little regard for your privacy, your needs, and your rights as a tenant and will frequently give you little or no warning when gaining or giving access to your rented home.

The flat we found through Michon Mackay…

The flat we found through Michon Mackay was beautiful and the move in process was especially smooth. I encountered a few personal problems throughout my 14 month tenancy which they were generally supportive with. The only thing I would recommend for improvement on was the maintenance of the flat, as I requested a couple things to be fixed which never got done. However, I'm not actually sure if this was due to the estate agents or the landlord, to be fair! More transparency with regards to what a break clause was would have been nice as well (not all of us are estate agents). Otherwise satisfied.

David Vaughan is the most honest estate agent I've ever met.

David Vaughan is, without doubt, the most honest and straightforward estate agent I have ever met. This is after five house moves. I had a glorious 1835 seafront property on sale with numerous agents at around £425. All failed until I left it with Brand Vaughan. David offered the most amazing commission rate of all the estate agents, the pictures his professional photographer took were just astounding - particularly of the bathroom, which I had spent £15,000 on completely redoing, even down to the damp course, and restored myself to the original 1835 plan - it looked amazing and I was very proud of it. Under floor heating, black and white theme throughout - and all Victorian fittings. Unfortunately I didn't know when I moved here that Brighton is the 'creative capital' of the country - even ahead of London - and I found it impossible to get work during my six years living here. There is a big homeless problem, and I think with this COVID virus, that Brighton - as the tourist capital of the country is really feeling the brunt. So I'm away for a while having suffered a number of epileptic seizures when I moved in. Luckily I had the presence of mind to call David from hospital to ask about any potential jobs doing anything - he blew me away so much with his honesty - and with 25 years of experience carrying out all marketing for the likes of MINI (BMW), Peugeot, Volvo, cage fighter Alex Reid, Kellogg's Walkers, M&S and Gary Lineker, I know I can work wonders for the Brand Vaughan brand. I know all of the viewing staff as friends already from the many viewings David secured immediately, and I have to completely believe in a brand - and it's management before I agree to promote it. David is not only a lovely bloke, but incredibly and refreshingly honest, I can't recommend Brand Vaughan highly enough. If you're after any property in Brighton, David will find it for you.

Excellent trustworthy Estate Agents who went above and beyond.

We live in the USA and were selling my parents house in Brighton. We had only fifteen minutes to meet with Chris P initially when we were deciding whether to put it on. the market or not. We were struck by his professionalism and the feeling that he would do the best job for us that he could. He met all deadlines in sending us things and was both easy to get hold of and responsive. We also had some dealings with Tom who was also very good. In the present Covid-19 chaos, Chris was absolutely superb and did everything he could to ensure that the sale went through. We cannot recommend him and the firm more highly.

Rude and unpleasant service

Have just had a phone call to the accounts team, needed to talk about my rent for this month and was greeted by a very rude lady. Spoke over me and didn’t let me ask the questions that I needed to ask. I was met with an awful attitude and I came out of the phone call upset and more confused about my situation than before. A very unpleasant experience, she should not be working in customer service. Extremely unprofessional.

After careful consideration of 4 estate agents we were most impressed with Damien and his team in Portslade to sell our house. He seemed personable and also most likely to be easy to work with throughout the sale to completion. Damien (And his team) did not disappoint throughout the whole process, always getting in contact and resolving many situations that flared up particularly towards the end of completion with some tricky buyers. Fantastic services from the entire team for the sale of my flat, and special thanks to Damien and Glenn who looked after the sale all the way through.From the initial meeting for valuation, Damien has really impressed us with his attention to details, and he worked very hard to understand our requirement and situation.We originally opted to have two agents representing our sale, as we thought that this would generate more viewings and attention from the market. But Damien’s team worked so much faster and harder, and communication with his team was much more efficient and easy. By the time the other agent sent us over the draft sales particular, Damien’s team already had conducted several viewings and offer negotiation had already started. This proved to us that we only needed one good agent, and we asked them to be our sole agent.As and when we encountered obstacles, Damien’s team offered great support, as well as providing straightforward and open talk/ advice to both ourselves and the buyer, to be able to move forward with the sale.Whilst maintaining their professional and courteous attitude, they also provided very personal and tailed services. I can highly recommend Chelsea at the Preston Park office. We had a bit of a roller coaster experience of selling our flat, so I feel that I experienced the two extremes of estate agents. We were badly let down by the first company we went on the market with, but I consider ourselves so lucky to have found Chelsea. She made sure we knew what was happening at all stages, and her calm and professionalism were really reassuring at the most stressful of times. We had been searching for a home on the south coast for more than three years when we found this property, a First and Second Floor Flat in Kemp Town Brighton, advertised by Brand Vaughan on Right Move. From the moment we contacted them for a viewing until completion, they were very supportive, providing answers for our queries and accommodating our frequent requests for return visits. We dealt primarily with Jon Anthony and Timothy Denning, of the St George Road Branch, whom we found professional, honest. Jon was our principal point of contact and he often went that 'extra mile' in his dealings with us. We appreciate that in essence, an estate agent primarily acts for the vendor. However, their support for a buyer, is, I would suggest, a positive approach to the modus operandi of such organisation. We are happy to recommend then.
