I would Highly recommend Brand Vaughn estate agents to anyone selling a property in the Brighton area. We were attempting to sell a probate property and initially went with a different estate agents. The service we received from the other estate agents was abysmal with incorrect too high valuations and false promises. There was also a lack of communication leading to the property being in the market for 9 months with no real interest. I spoke with Felix and Brand Vaughn and if I am honest I was dubious due to my previous service from a different estate agents. I was wrong to be dubious as from the outset he was honest with everything he told me and did not make any false promises. The flat was valued sensibly given the current market and I was told by Felix he was sure there would be a lot of interest and we would achieve the amount we agreed we should aim for. The property was initially advertised slightly higher to gage interest. We had a few viewings but no offers over two weeks so Dee recommended reducing to the amount we were aiming for. Dee explained this would attract more potential buyers and she was correct as in the first week we had 8 viewings on the Friday accepted an offer for the asking price. The offer was accepted late October and we completed first week of February. We were ready to complete earlier but the Christmas period held a few legal things up. Dee, Felix and George made this process very easy for us and were attentive to us giving regular updates throughout. I honestly cannot fault the service I received from Brand Vaughn in any way. I highly recommend Brand Vaughn if your looking for professional estate agent which is honest, values properties appropriately to try and achieve the maximum the property can realistically and potentially gain. The team at Brand Vaughn Kemp Town communicated frequently throughout the process to ensure it was a seamless process and as stress free as it can possibly can be.

Dee is an absolute legend! She was amazing at dealing with what turned out to be an absolute nightmare of a sale and purchase of a property. The nightmare was down to the buyers solicitors (Sort Legal - stay clear at all costs) but Dee managed the situation so well. Students must do their research before approaching this company!!!!!

My son and three of his friends reserved accommodation with Brand Vaughan. I signed as the guarantor for my son and paid the deposit and advance rent. On the 18th Sept, he received an email stating that his accommodation is cancelled and he was supposed to collect keys on the 19th Sept, his classes starting on the 23rd September. I saw the stress and frustration on my son's face when all this happened and fortunately for him and his friends, the University was able to provide accommodation in campus albeit more expensive. Still very grateful for the university to step in at the last minute to save the day. My deposit and advance is returned and I am not writing a review to have a go at Brand Vaughan. This review is to warn all students to do some research before committing yourselves to such companies. If my son and his friends had done their research and read the reviews here, they would not have gone anywhere near Brand Vaughan based at 14 The Waterfront, Brighton Marina, BN2 5WA. Thank you for the response, however, the alternative accommodation offered was meant for 5 tenants and the onus of finding the 5th tenant was on my son and his friends. Failure to find the additional tenant in 2 months would have resulted in the rent being divided by 4 and hence, stating that the offer was for the same rent is not actually true.. So please respond stating the full picture and with honesty. I have only put this review to help future students.

We could not have asked for better support in what turned out to be a long and complicated process. The team at the Preston Park branch were fabulous. Toby was our initial contact, advising us on asking price and then arranging viewings and securing a buyer. He immediately made us feel confident and included in the process. Ollie and Sue were both personable, charming and very supportive in keeping the buyer with us in what proved to be a long and difficult sale. Without them, I think I'd have lost a very good price for my late mother's property. Darren was lighting quick and efficient in organising clearance of the property immediately contracts were exchanged, well in advance of completion. All in all, a highly efficient and thoroughly professional team.
