Prior to instructing HS Estates to sell our property, I read the online reviews and after meeting Michaela at the valuation, knew that she was the person to entrust with the selling of our family home. She is very efficient, hardworking, conscientious and friendly, She regularly chases up matters to ensure that progress is being made, right up to the completion day. We lost our buyer during Covid 19 Lockdown and Michaela kept me regularly updated as to the current position. We had two agents come to market our property and we immediately decided to go with HS Estates thanks to Michaela's professional and pleasant manner. We were kept informed on a regular basis as to how things were developing and this became critical leading up to exchange and completion. Exceptional and personal service

I honestly can't rate HS Lettings highly enough. I first met Fran Brabham-Neil just after my father died and I was considering letting the house that was to be left to me. I saw many agents at that time, but Fran was the only one I felt inclined to work with at what was a very difficult time. Fran is entirely professional in her offering whilst being truly genuine, trustworthy, and there to offer a very personal service - not just get business in the bag. It took three years for me to finally clear and empty my father's home. Even whilst it was still not ready to let, Fran was there to offer advice and guidance and get me across the finish line. I feel very lucky to have chosen such a partner in this hefty project. I was delighted with the way the property was advertised and I had total confidence in her selection of prospective tenants. Everything happened swiftly and smoothly from that point on and the tenants too were happy with the process. As a landlord, I do not hesitate to recommend Fran and HS Lettings. We would strongly warn anyone off these people for multiple reasons. Their marketing was always lacklustre but we also had a missed appointment from a member of staff and sulleness from Michaela. We had never even heard of the manager until we saw that an agent had let viewers go into our house unaccompanied while she stood outside idle. Andy maintained she was following Covid guidelines but we were never advised of this beforehand and there is of course no way we would have agreed to letting strangers roam free in our lovely home. We were given no apology, in fact Michaela was unpleasant and moody on the phone ('because it was her day off'!) but Andy is clearly a person who cannot let things go and gets easily riled and pitifully petty when challenged on his company's practices. I don't think he was keeping much of an eye on proceedings, though claimed his employees don't lie to him despite the fact that there were contradictions in stories so lies were told somewhere without doubt. He will surely reply to these comments with nonsense arguments and irrelevancies as he has already done with us and has done to every criticism already raised on here. It's best to ignore a personality like that, as we have been doing. Please avoid these people, there are plenty of decent estate agents in Brentwood who get results. Sadly, these people are small-minded, incompetent and dishonest. 0 out of 5.NegativeProfessionalism

We have just sold our two bed Brentwood-based property using HS Estate agents. We are indebted to all the staff who have worked tirelessly to help us; overcoming a series of challenges that presented themselves during the sale process. We were recommended these guys by a friend who had previously used them and spoke glowingly about the personal touch he received when comparing them to "bigger" estate agents. Through no fault of HS Estate agents, our sale process became a protracted affair due to 2 buyers pulling out midway through the transaction, coupled with numerous complications linked to solicitors! As a result, the personal touch became very welcome! HS Estate agents worked tirelessly to reassure us in times of disappointment, provided us with numerous new viewings & ensured we were kept updated with regular updates and information throughout. Thankfully, it was 3rd time lucky for us, completing in early April, just before the madness of COVID-19 hit. Even at such a unique time, the team were able to continue to provide us with a professional, personal service, allowing us to retreat into lock-down safe in the knowledge that our onward chain would not be affected. HS Estate Agents have been excellent to deal with throughout the moving process. The vendor showed us around the property but HS followed up promptly afterwards and were efficient and professional in putting across our offer and communicating the vendor's acceptance. Throughout the process HS were also extremely responsive to my queries and requests for timing updates, always getting back to me the same day. They also did a lot to smooth the process right through the chain by communicating with the other agents and solicitors. We wanted to close before Christmas and I believe that this might not have been possible were it not for HS's assistance to focus everyone on an early December date. Special mention goes to Simone who was extremely helpful, transparent and a pleasure to deal with. Simone alerted me very promptly to a scam email that appeared to have been sent from my solicitor, but was in fact fake. I was very impressed by her quick actions and diligence. To say that HS went beyond the call of duty is an understatement. It is rare nowadays to find small companies that have such strong and professional attention to detail. I had never realised that the actual selection of a property is a small part of the process. The really tricky parts are once you decide which house you want!! Michaela was literally fantastic and ran most of the process for the entire chain to ensure that we had a reasonable completion date. I can't imagine how long the process would have taken without her maintaining a daily focus on the entire chain and what needed to happen. Thank you HS, fantastic service and very competitive fee.
