I wish all agents were this great!

I wish all agents were as reliable/easy to deal with as Alice and Christine from Beresfords. Very friendly service all round. They took a lot of the stress and frustration I was experiencing from other agencies out of the equation.Trying to find a somewhere in the current climate with so many people going for each property is frustrating. Majority of agents I spoke to wouldn't even do simple things like return calls/emails or couldn't get through to them on phone lines. With Beresfords being the polar opposite to my experiences elsewhere, returning calls and doing what they said, when they said they would was a breath of fresh air. I was happy with their service even before I was offered the property so would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.Thank you Alice and Christine!

Alice Norkett has been extremely helpful this year, as she always has in previous years. Assisting in a rental property in St Lawrence with great success. Though we had an issue with our initial potential tenants, Alice soon had another lined up with quick paperwork allowing tenant to move in almost immediately. Mixed experience with communication but Lauren's help made a difference

I recently changed my contract with Beresfords for the property I own and rent through them. I switched from full management contract to let only contract.However, I was not happy with the process at first because it was a misunderstanding between me and the letting department. They did not respond to may emails and questions and I felt ignored. It was frustrating because I expected them to assign someone to help me since I was under full management contract. When I was about to lose hope, Lauren Johnson stepped in and contacted me firstly by email then by phone. She not only acknowledged the miscommunication but also took the time to clearly explain the entire process of changing contracts. Lauren made sure I understood the necessary steps for the contract switch and was open to discussing any concerns or questions I had. I would like to say a big thank you to Lauren for her support. Her actions reflect positively on Beresfords and demonstrate the value of having knowledgeable and customer-oriented staff members. She is undoubtedly an asset to Beresfords. While the initial breakdown in communication was disappointing Lauren's intervention and assistance turned the situation around. I believe that Beresfords should take this as an opportunity to improve their overall communication practices and ensure that clients receive consistent and timely responses. In conclusion, I am grateful to Lauren for going above and beyond to help me during the contract switch. Her exceptional support greatly improved my overall experience with Beresfords. Poor check-in/out inventory by Brentwood office. Good at Colchester.

For 25 years, I've rented property in Wivenhoe (to 2022) and Ingatestone (to 2021) and Beresfords is consistently more expensive than others. However, the Colchester/Wivenhoe letting team is well worth the premium but, unlike Colchester's excellent inventory team, the Brentwood office's inventory team is poor. They missed holes in carpets, broken cupboards and and an entire shed full of tenant rubbish, all of which I had to pay to get sorted out instead of it being a deposit deduction. There was no offer of a contribution from Beresfords, even though I had been a client for years. Unprofessional.

Albert has been absolutely phenomenal over the last few weeks whilst my husband and I have been trying to find a new property. In a very stressful situation where we unexpectedly had to move last minute whilst 8 months pregnant, Albert has truly gone above and beyond to find us the perfect place to settle. He is proactive, listens intently, remembers small details and genuinely cares which is rare in his line of work. Ever since the first viewing he took note of exactly what we needed and when we sent in a generic request to Beresfords for a viewing on a certain property he called me directly to explain it wouldn't be suitable according to our needs and proposed another solution. He never lost interest, 'moved on to the next opportunity' or gave up and thanks to him we are going to be moved in and settled before baby arrives, which seemed absolutely impossible at one point. I naturally have very high expectations and I have to say that Beresfords consistently exceeded them. Our property, unexpectedly came up for renewal in November and I was incredibly concerned about the prospect of finding a new tenant with it being so close to Christmas. I spoke to Karen and she was absolutely fabulous. She reassured me, took control and skilfully guided us through the process. Hornchurch Branch very poor service

I see a property for sale with the Hornchurch Branch. I phoned on the 30th to ask to view and was told no more viewings until new year. I walked passed the Branch just after and see two staff in there not doing alot. I then phoned new year on the 3rd to view on the 8th. Was told we do not do viewings on Sunday but one of our staff lives local and he is also doing another viewing. The time would be 11.30. Good news as it takes me a hour to get to the property. Had a call on Saturday 7th by the man who I was going to meet. He said he does not have a car and can we do next Sunday.?? I told him Someone else could view during the week and make a offer? I said I have made arrangements at my end as to get there as arranged. I did offer to collect him as he did not live far from the property. He said he would phone back. He did st 16.45. I missed the call and called back at 16.48 No answer, phoned again at 16.52 went through to main office switchboard. They emailed the branch to call me and said they don't shut till 5.30. I phoned again at 17.02 and 17.10 no answers and no calls back. So do I travel for an hour to get there at 11.30 Sunday 8th or do I not go as there will be no one to meet me. Absolutely very poor customer service. Good excuse for the guy who was meant to me as he phoned but no answer. So why did he not try again. If anyone is reading this don't try to sell your house with Beresford Hornchurch Branch they don't careComing back from your reply I did have my phone with me. There was No Call Sunday morning and with my partner I still attended at the original agreed time. And I did speak to a neighbour of the flat for sale talking about maintenance charge etc. Also today 9th Jan still have not had a call from the branch

Highly Professional, Thorough, Efficient and Reliable

All the various departments at Beresfords have been extremely helpful. We have had issues with the local authorities and gas safety engineer services over the years and the team (particularly Sara, Cameron, Lauren and Christine) has been great at helping to resolve these problems by contacting these companies and liaising between us, the tenants and the services in a professional and efficient manner.They are brilliant at communicating with us, the landlords, at every step of the way so we are always kept in the loop with what is happening with our property.We would highly recommend Beresfords as a Letting Agent as they are very thorough, professional, efficient and reliable.
