Following a detailed appraisal of your file and your prior contact with our branch, I can confirm our internal notes appear to outline a slightly different view to your own with regards to offers put forward during this transaction. Time is of the essence with any potential purchase, particularly as in this case, when a property proves to be popular. Both you and another client were given the same opportunity to put your best and final offers forward. Unfortunately in this case, the other party was first to come back to us with an offer above asking price which we cannot disclose. It is the seller’s choice when deciding which purchaser to go with and the decision will usually be based on the amount offered and the purchaser’s buying position. Whilst you were in the same position as the other party, they offered more money which was ultimately the deciding factor. I can understand how frustrated and disappointed you must feel. Please let me reassure you we will continue to keep you fully informed of suitable property as it becomes available. GoogleAfter a bad experience with Purplebricks (do not believe the adverts), Beresfords came in and saved the day.
I originally instructed Purplebricks to let my property to see if the hype is for real - it's not! I quickly lost confidence with them and instructed Beresfords to locate me a tenant because Purplebricks couldn't!
From instruction, Beresfords commitment to finding a tenant was really impressive.
Beresfords communication (email and phone) from start to finish was impeccable. (Purplebricks were awful on this point).
Their local knowledge is second to none (Purplebricks is very questionable on this point too).
When I spoke to the office, whoever I spoke to, they had an extremely good understanding of my property and its associated progress. (if you can't get hold of your designated Purplebricks agent - which was often, you had to call a national hotline which meant speaking to someone who had zero knowledge on your property)
Beresfords were extremely honest and professional - advising/ guiding me on legislation and relevant law where applicable.
They seem to be very well connected and proactive, not just relying on Rightmove to locate leads (like Purplebricks).
Very quickly I had a number of viewings, and subsequently offers all via Beresfords.
My negative experience with Purplebricks just amplified how positive Beresfords were. You pay for what you get, and paying that little bit extra pays for itself.

GoogleI've had a pleasant experience finding a flat to rent with Beresfords. They are very responsive. They've also been transparent about everything and treat me like a human being. Instead of how other agents simply look at renters like money bags to squeeze. I've had no hidden fees or charges.
I can't give them a five star rating because I had arranged three viewings on a Saturday, only to be told ten minutes before the first, that one was cancelled and for the other they couldn't find the keys. So we had to reschedule. I assume this is a rare occurrence but I was pretty close not do business with them. First impressions are everything after all.
----- Update 1
After two months living in a Berefords' maintained flat the worst case scenario happened. The boiler broke during winter. It was a difficult situation. But I can say that the combination of Sarah and Jim got the boiler up and running quickly enough.
My journey with them hasn't been perfect. There's a few rough edges we're still working on. But for now I can say Berefords doesn't feel like a corporation but an agency ran by humans for humans. I appreciate this personal touch.
As time goes I will update this review to also include my experience with Beresford as a managing agent. Hope it goes well! For now, I can at least say I've enjoyed the experience and can recommend.PositiveResponsiveness

I’ve experienced a lot of different estate agencies, and I can honestly say Beresfords have given me the best experience to date. They have communicated really well with me throughout my two year tenancy, and always show up on time. They liaise quickly with the landlord and never kept me waiting around to know the plan for any repairs that needed to be carried out, and are generally really on the ball. All the staff that visited for home inspections were always respectful and had a friendly demeanor.
