The Trusted AgentAVOID THIS AGENCY
Where do I even begin. Never contact you once you've paid them money. Always have to be chased. Staff are young and have no knowledge of the properties they are 'managing', meaning they are unable to answer even the simplest of questions. Accused us of giving false guarantor information when it was an administration mistake on their end. Tried to force us to have a 'lead tenant' and one guarantor between 4 tenants which was ridiculous. To top it all off, 11 days before our move in date, the first time they contacted the landlord we later found out despite having made the offer 3 months ago, the landlord withdrew from the process and they charged us £200 and said there was nothing they could do for us. We also found the property we were meant to be renting listed elsewhere a month after we'd signed our contract.. Avoid them like the plague.

Leon was incredibly helpful during our viewing, despite the property we were booked to see already been let out he took us to another one which we ended up putting an offer in for! Couldn't have been more helpful with our questions and during the process to secure the flat! Highly recommend to anyone looking to rent through Thorgills.

Regan was extremely helpful from the outset, from showing us round to organising a meeting with the landlord. He always maintained contact and kept us up to date. He was always polite and very well mannered. If you are thinking of using Thorgills, I would ask for Regan as you won’t get a better person to deal with.

Leon was very well prepared for the round of viewings, knowing our requirements and based upon that put a tour with selection of apartments that suited our needs. He was very professional and friendly, great communicator. On that particular day we saw 7 different agents and Leon was by far the best one.

The Trusted AgentTypical estate agent wanting money for old hat (nothing)
It's worth considering using an estate agent with more appropriate fees. To renew our contract it costs £180, an extortionate fee in which virtually no work is done by Thorgills. To add insult they didn't even provide good service as they initially wrote my name as "Thomas Cook". I presume the agent was thinking about spending the £180 on a holiday.
Hello Tom, Thank you for your feedback. As you know, the charges for the renewal of a tenancy are clearly stated within the tenancy agreement you signed. There is significant work involved in the process of a renewal which includes re-lodging deposits, agreeing any new terms, producing new tenancy agreements and of course, the cost of a renewals consultant. I do however apologise for the error with your name, even award winning agents make mistakes sometimes. :)
